Giants

General Description:

Giants are, in short, large people. They’ve come from the tundra of the wastes, usually living in deep forests or mountains. Their culture is that of a primitive tribe’s. On average, low intelligence. They speak common, and their language is written in Viking runic. They’re known to keep to themselves, but there’s often roaming, lone giants that were either exiled or left their tribe for some reason. Their diet is often large woodland creatures, bears, deer, moose etc. Although, some hostile tribes are known to band together to raid defenseless small villages, using humans as food. There’s no straightforward behavior to a giant, it depends on their tribal history. Some tribes are known to shoo off humans from their homes peacefully, while others just raises their boots in response.

Breeding
Same as human, only well, you get the point.

History.
It’s unknown how the giant appeared, it’s theorized that they were originally just humans, cut off from the outside world, with a high meat diet. And that over time, the generations got larger and larger, gradually, until you have today’s modern, hulking giant.

It is known, however, that the giants in Olden originated from the tundra of the wastes, who moved to greener pastures, no pun intended.

Appearance:
This varies from tribe to tribe. A giant tribe can either look like a generally stereotypical pot bollied, wart covered, bad teethed, and generally unpleasant on the eyes humanoid thing, or the lesser common human giants. Don’t confuse them with human giant hybrids, human giants, for some reason, get the exact same physical traits as normal humans, only in much larger form, ofcourse.

Height: On average, 30 feet. Smaller ones being around 20-25, the biggest ones being around 40-45. Bigger giants are often known to be the raiders, snacking on humans that are well in supply, as they are quite large and need a lot more food than your average 30 feet. Their docile counterpart will often hunt down non-sentient animals.

Unique Giants:
Although usually being of low intelligence, a giant can often have the mental capacity of a human, or exceed it, but can lose it to tribal influence. These giants, if not heavily influenced, will often become the next chieftain. Or, in some cases, question the tribe, explore the outside world, and leave forever. Unique giants are known to be a good and bad thing. If the giant is just a general bad person, then well, you’ve got a smart, strong, and large problem on your hands. If the giant proves to be generally a decent personality, they make excellent guards, deterring any raiders with their stature.

Traits:
Giants are a physical race, they’re quite strong, even if they aren’t strong in muscle mass, they’re pretty large. In ranking of average strength;
Hunters, which can be male and female.
Males.
Females.
Children.
The chieftain, who is, quite amusingly, known to become a bit of a blubbery ‘ol chum by the end of his/her days.

They are good survivalists, having originated from the icy depths of the Wastes; they still live today in the mountains and deep forests.

Magical potency is near zero, there’s very little a giant could do, even if a genius unique giant were to try to learn, they’d find it hard.
