The frightening past of the old shed by the river, authed by ruta.

It's an old Surnan story, about a young trader man coming to Surna, and setting up his trading outpost down by the river, in the old shed thirty years ago. He fell in love with a woman, and they became engaged. Well, a soldier in the Empire who was presumed dead from a small uprising soon found his way back to his old town, finding his former fiance to have cheated on her. When he confronted the trader, they got into a fist fight. The next week, the trader took a knife from his inventory, going to the soldier's house and stabbing him to death, dragging his body away. They say he was cut up, and buried under or near the shed. The trader then met with his lover for the first time in a week, he started yelling at her, and she only cowered and cried as he became increasingly beserk. When she tried to defend herself, he stabbed her too, brought her back to the shed, cut her up, and disposed of the pieces near the shed or under the floorboards. He went insane, pacing back and forth multiple times, until the Surna Guard tried to arrest him, he was too erratic and dangerous, and tried to kill a guard. The guard lashed out at him in self defense, a mortal wound to the chest. The man fell dead in the center of the shed.

10 years later, a local criminal took up a new life in Surna, trying to get off the Empire's best investigators of his trail. The local Guard was ofcourse informed of this, and the place he chose to stay was the dilapidated shed. After the criminal did not respond to the calls from outside, they broke the door down. There in the corner, he was sitting, rocking back and forth, he looked up at the guards and immediately slit his throat. Ofcourse, he could have always known this was the end, and feared his life in imprisonment. Others say the one night he spent in the shed, made him go insane..

Several things have been heard and seen around the shed, at night. Some guards who patrol by the river at night can hear a spade smacking into earth, or a creaking of the floorboards. People say they've seen the silhouette man standing in the doorway, a rather large sack with odd bulges in one hand, and a spade in the other. Some say they've heard psychotic screaming and arguments coming from that direction, in an odd, whispered tone. Whatever may be true, all we know for sure is that it is not a peaceful place..
