The Bloody Hand

Overview

The Bloody Hand is a group of differentially experienced killers. Some are skilled, while others are novices. This faction is full of assassins who are ordered to kill targets, sometimes in a certain way (which is specified,) but other times in any way the assassin wishes. Often, a Bloody Hand member will leave a "call-sign", a marking on the wall, or ground, or a note with their personal symbol next to the body, but some choose otherwise, or not to. As proof of the kill, the person sent on the job will be required to coat their palm in the target's blood, (hence, Bloody Hand) and receive payment for a job well done. Some think that the Bloody Hand is evil, but in truth, it only does its job: To maintain a perfect balance of good and evil, through death and bloodshed.

Uniform and Ranking

The members are usually not required to wear any certain kind of outfit, but a red cloak or trenchcoat is often what they are given to wear. The ability for a member to choose an outfit is much appreciated within the ranks, and it actually helps to keep the group more anonymous. However, upon entering the Bloody Hand, they are to have a specific shape carved into their palm and fingers, which some choose to cover with gloves or gauntlets.

The Ranks are as follows:

Leader - Leads the Bloody Hand. Gives orders to the Speakers. Promotes members if seen fit.
Speakers - Sends members on jobs, recruits Newbloods into the Hand. Receives contracts.
Fairblood - Highest possible rank to achieve. A member can become one of these if they have excelled on every job they are given.
Newblood - Lowest rank possible. When a member is recruited into the Hand, they become one of these.

How to Join

The Bloody Hand is an Apply OOCly, Join ICly system. You make an application, and it is looked over by the Leader (me). Do note that your character has to have killed a person before they can join. (Doesn't have to be an actual PLAYER that you killed, can be a fake person too.) It does not matter who. If/When the application is accepted, a person will be sent out ICly to find you, and recruit you. Follow their steps, and you will be welcomed into the warm arms of The Bloody Hand.


Tenets

The tenets are as follows:
1. Do not kill, or steal from other Hand members, unless ordered to do so by a superior.
2. Carry out any tasks given, to the fullest extent.
3. Do not stir rumors or suspicious activity about the Bloody Hand.
4. Follow all directions, orders, and instructions.
5. Do not spread information, true or false, about the Bloody Hand to -anyone- unless ordered to do so by a superior.
6. You will be ordered to abandon a job if danger toward you or the Hand is excessive.
7. Do not practice magic. We are not a mages guild.
8. Do not lie to, or about a superior or another member of the Hand.
9. Do not begin/halt/continue a job without authorization from a superior.
