Abandoned in a city known as Kyravik, on Eshira as a 5 year old girl, Jackie had no name, no self-reliance, and no history. She was quickly adopted by a local gang of children. Pickpockets. They lived their lives by stealing food from stores, by stealing money from rich folk, and by stealing jewellery from women. The young girl was confused and couldn't remember much from her past. From what she could remember of her parents, she knew that she was better off scrounging for her life than living with them. She was dubbed "Jackie" by her thieving counterparts, for the sole reason of the children thinking it was a "nice" name. Jackie quickly came into her own as a theif, by the age of 6 she was self-reliant and able to steal enough food and money to feed herself every day. She would usually work on her own throughout the day, as would most of the children, but during the nights they all returned to an old, abandoned wine cellar, underneath a burned out house. Here, all 13 of the vagabonds slept around a rekindled fire. Each night, two of the children would stand guard to keep the other 11 children safe. The oldest of the children, Ryaid Nvet'sar, was the one of two non-humans in the group. He was a 14 year old Hazenn who took on and trained each of the children himself. He was abandoned as a child and had to fend for himself in Kryavik, quickly managing to make friends with another Hazenn female, Hyarn Vas'leto. Together, these two Hazenn formed a sort of "guild", compromised of children who needed to band together for survival. Jackie grew closer and closer with Ryaid as she grew older. By the age of 16, they were practically inseparable. They stole together, ate together, stole some more together, and lived together. Quickly, Jackie developed a strict moral code, and decided to instruct Ryaid to set down some ground rules. Before this, the gang of thieves were unruly; not bound by any sort of code or tenant. Jackie's 3 rules were quickly applied to the entire group: 1) Never kill. -Jackie was especially keen on staying as far away from her parent's footsteps as possible. What few memories she retained of them at this age, were the most horrific. She knew they were murderers and she vowed to never take another's life. 2) Never steal from the unwealthy. -Jackie was empathetic towards the beggars and paupers of Kryavik. She knew that she was better off than them, even though they were once in the exact same position. At every opportunity, she sought to help them out. She would feed beggars any leftover food she would have, and every day she would steal an entire ham to feed to this one beggar's dog. 3) Never sell each other out. -The gang of children were closer than most families. They lived off each other, and depended on each other. They trusted each other with their lives, and if one of them were to report the gang to the authorities, they could all easily have been locked away forever.
Jackie earned the nickname "Blades" after managing to steal a fortune in ancient knives and swords from a travelling businessman, who specialised in dealing with ancient weaponry from the planet earth. He had with him a great deal of weapons, most of which dating back to the 1600s. The heist wasn't easy, and she needed help from Ryaid. She sold 14 swords, and 35 knives. She kept 2 pocket knives and a rather beautiful rapier-sword that she spotted. Little did she know, this sword would be her trademark. After reaping the fruits of her theft, Jackie realised that she had made more than enough money to purchase a wealthy man's property. She could finally live her life as a real person. But she didn't want that. She felt she didn't deserve that. Instead, she gave the 90% money to Ryaid and instructed him to do what he thought best with it. The other 10% was spread throughout the various beggars in Kryavik, 5% was given to the man with the dog, who she adored so much. The other 5% was given to 10 different beggars. 0.5% may not seem like much, but 0.5% of the money she earned from the heist was more than enough for lowly beggars. Jackie quickly heard that the businessman she stole from was searching for her. He'd hired bands of mercenaries to search for his swords, which he eventually retrieved. By force. The entire city now looked towards Jackie for someone to blame for these mercenaries coming to steal their newly acquired antiques. But the city-folk weren't the people who Jackie was most worried about. The Businessman knew Jackie still had his weapon. He'd heard reports of a pickpocket running lose with what looked like a sword strapped to her hip, and he wanted it back. Jackie quickly came to the conclusion that she needed to leave Kyravik as soon as possible. For anywhere, she didn't care where. She'd heard nice things about Turmalis, but that was far too far to walk. And that's when it clicked. She remembered seeing a blindingly beautiful hoverbike, with "Zed" written along the side of it in white letters, contrasting with the red basecoat. She decided she was going to steal the bike, and leave her life behind. She would miss her family dearly, but she had provided them with enough money for a perfect life. More than enough money, in fact. She approached the hoverbike under cover of nightfall, and began to attempt to pick the ignition lock. Much to her surprise, the owner approached her from behind, apparently wanting to go for a midnight ride. He placed his huge hand on her shoulder and whispered the following in her ear. "Baby girl, you're gonna wanna get your cute little ass off Zed's motorbike, before Zed takes your sweet ass down to his bedroom and performs... Unforgivable acts of punishment." A combination of panic and horror came over Jackie. She'd never been caught before, what should she do? "Y.. Yes, sir. Right away. I'm so-" Jackie was interrupted by Zed's second hand grabbing her by the hip and lifting her up. "Zed doesn't care, honey-bunch. You're my wife now." Jackie thrashed about as much as she could, begging for her life and freedom. She was so close to escaping, and now she was locked inside Zed's home. She repeatedly swung her arm down and punched Zed in the side of the face, but all to no avail. Zed was carrying her down a flight of stairs, what could she do? "Mmm-mm. Zed's gonna be getting himself some delicious candy tonight, baby-doll." In a sudden spark of twisted genius and adrenaline-fuelled self preservation, Jackie remembered about her pocket knife. With the hand she had been battering Zed's face with, she quickly drew the knife from her pocket, and gripped it in her fist. Not thinking about her actions, she wildly flung her fist backwards in three vicious strikes. Zed dropped her. She stumbled down the stairs, followed by a heap of mass making what can only be described as "Gargling noises". She made sure Zed didn't land on her, and pulled herself to her feet. She looked down upon Zed's lobotomised body. He was still breathing. And he was suffering. Jackie knew he was a bad person, but he did not deserve to suffer like this. Jackie pulled her pocket knife from Zed, which was embedded in his right ear, and slit his throat, ear-to-ear. Quickly, Zed's breathing quickened and his heart rate stopped. He eventually came to rest, and all was silent. Jackie pulled Zed's eyes shut, and muttered a prayer, before rooting through his pockets for anything of use. She retrieved Zed's bike keys and quickly left the shit-hole he called a house. Upon leaving the house, Jackie spotted her fellow thieves, lead by Ryaid. She didn't say a word. She mounted the hoverbike, and started it up. It wasn't night-time anymore. A deep yellow glow gently caressed Jackie as she turned back to her friends, her eyes filled with tears. "What's wrong? Whose bike is that?" Queried Ryaid. "It's Zed's" replied Jackie. "Who's Zed?" spoke a girl from the rear of the crowd, probably Jenny. "Zed? Zed's dead." Jackie accelerated towards the sunrise, not taking a moment to look back at her past. She just wanted to forget it all.
Turmalis seemed like a nice idea.

Skills
13 years as a professional thief has left Jackie extremely light-footed and light-fingered enough to pick even the most complex of conventional locking mechanism. She is capable of sneaking around whilst making little to zero sound, and is agile enough to tumble through the smallest of gaps when pursued. Her low body weight and active lifestyle has left her with the acrobatics of a professional circus performer, and is capable to jump her height from a stationary position. This makes it childs-play for Jackie to climb buildings and trees. Not only this, but Jackie's constantly love and attention to her rapier has granted her a mild proficiency with rapier blades. Lockpicking - 8/10 Sneaking - 9/10 Agility - 8/10 Swordplay - 4/10

My gosh I love this song. I love it. I love it a lot. Besides the song, the character seems like a very refreshing one with a nice backstory and... well, you get my point! I like this character very much and I sure as hell do approve of this.
EDIT: Also. I LLLOOOVE THE SONG!
That's all for now.

And I plan on having Zaku carry about a sword, too. Gives character, an article for someone to cherish, and it generally just cool. Doesn't necessarily need to be practical.
And if you want to kill someone quietly, a gun's not the best option.
