My new computer

So yeah.

A few days ago I got my brand new computer all set up and ready to go. As some of you would have noticed, I was on the server for the first time in months and it was god damn fun, I missed it so much. As the server emptied, I left and launched Left 4 Dead. As I started playing, my monitor and sound glitched and I found out with horror, that my computer had fucking died on me.

AS IT TURNS OUT.

The graphics card was not the one I ordered and so the computer basically fried iself by overclocking without telling me when I tried to play Left 4 Dead on decent graphics. Dell had not given me the graphics card I payed for. I had to let my friend take it home so he can try to find a replacement or send it to Dell for replacing it. The problem is my friend can probably fix it in 3 - 5 days, but if he cant he has to send it to dell... If he does, it make take another MONTH before I get the computer back.

So yeah.

I'm pretty pissed.

I got to play a total of 5 hours on my brand-spanking-new computer which cost me a years worth of blood, sweat and tears, and a total of 10 hours to download all my shit back before it crapped itself out.

I'll still be on Steam Friends, still on MSN and still on Skype and the forums too.

... Wow. Now that blows.

Typical Dell, I've got one now and I had to call Dell to replace the graphic card. The sound glitched, I got bluescreens (I still do) and I had to play on like low.

And my respect for Dell drops even lower. Well, at least all you need now is a new graphics card, it's not like your whole comp is hosed.

...right?

Apparently even the motherboard wasnt the right one.

Then demand a refund and build your own computer.

Can't get a refund. Doesn't work that way.

I am very tempted to just order seperate parts from AlienWare and just get a new one in less than a week.

Not Alienware, that is fucking overpriced. You'd save money ordering from less "popular" stores. At least in Sweden.

I get my parts from less popular places in the industrial part of the city. It's way cheaper and the same quality.

order the entire PC in parts
build it yourself
save several hundred dollars

and do NOT order from alienware. order from newegg or some shit.
