World of Tanks began as a cool little tank game on the first day of closed beta ( I was there ), to a "Tigers, Tigers everywhere" fest. It's no longer even fun anymore with people being on the highest ranks of the IS chain. I've even fought people using a Maus. While on a T-46. It wasn't fun.

Odd, because you can't get pitted against Tanks that are outlandishly out of your level and or tier. There's a balancer.

Oh balls yes, this is quite possibly a dream come true, armored warfare is the epitome of my hobbies. It does however, need to be damn realistic to be for me, which includes how many of each tank are available, no mixing armies, proper ballistics and possibility of 1-3 people per tank, that is, not being able to drive and shoot at the same time, having to switch seats if you're the only person in the tank etc.
Edit: Looks okay. Reminds me more of battlestations midway sort of thing, though Im more in to a red orchestra sort of tank combat, which could be improved.

Nope, there isn't, there's just starter and standard battles. When the game was starting out, it was rare to even see a heavy around. Now, it's at LEAST 4, and no metal bawx shit, no. IS or King Tigers. When a tank begins to replace artillery, you know there's gonna be balancing issues.
The main problem is that most medium tanks are outlandishly weak against heavies, it's almost not worth it if it wasn't for the fact you HAVE to go through that to get to a KV, which is kinda easy to kill because it turns it's turrets incredibly slow. Seriously, the most fun you can have in the game is with a rapegun or with a high tier Nazi antitank using VIP rounds. Not the Hertzer, though, it looks like a dick on threads.

Well, I enjoy it. And don't suffer from any of those problems. It's not a game that can be balanced spot on, though. While trying to stay realistic. The KV's turret is slow, because in real life, it was slow. Smaller tanks could easily wipe it out, but if it got a chance to fire, it'd blow right through some of the bigger stuff. And the medium tanks are amazing, what are you on about? I use a BT-2 for a good duration of the game, one of the lightest tanks, and easily rake up a few kills.
The game's not even about kills, even, you get just as much points for spotting, playing recon, or even decoy. It's not about your kill to death ratio.

Get a higher tier tank and you'll begin hating it. BT-2 is a light tank, you can still do starter battles with it.

I'd like to point out that historically, while the KV-1 is a good tank in a battle of medium tanks since it's got good enough armor that pretty much all medium tank guns are useless against it and okay firepower it's god awful in terms of heavy tanks in and of themselves. Plus later stage Russian medium tanks could out-perform it in almost all catagories like the T-34/85 and Panther.
I'm gonna stop before I ramble on, Tanks are, like I said before my #1 hobby and if I could play this I would just to see what it's like, nuff said.
