The edge of the "Black Woods" has almost reached Surna. Attacks and disappearances have gone up almost exponentially. Starvation, disease, and these attacks have left Surna's population lower than it has been in years. The boards are overflowing with pictures of the dead and missing. The streets are filled with beggars and the dying. Martial law has staved off crime, but does not seem to have helped with the other problems Surna faces.

According to sources, evidence of Talibarian invasion was uncovered in multiple neighboring countries. It is unclear how or why Talibar would attack during this time, but it has been almost impossible to disprove the veracity of the evidence, according to officials. What this means for Talibar is yet to be known, but the outlook is not an optimistic one.

Villages that have dropped out of contact have been found empty and harboring the very same growth found in the Black Woods. A black substance has engulfed the ground and plants, and wildlife has retreated in favor of the dangerous and bizarre creatures seen as of late near Surna. Throughout Talibar, these growths are beginning, with no end in sight.
