Frankly, I'm not surprised.

It wasn't censored. Pat locked it. I simply moved it to the Head Admin section for further discussion.

Seems like a totally unnecessary move. I mean, really, why lock threads like that? It's not like we get that much population aside from a few regulars, nobody from outside the community would care about them.

Besides, most of our avatars say enough about us.

That thread was full of valid points, moving it to only admins, while preventing flame (hopefully), is still kind of keeping the community in the dark, and not allowing them to state their opinions.

I locked it because the comments were getting increasingly hostile. It was in the spirit of preserving stability.

What I dislike is that threads that aren't inflammatory, are taken by the community, made so, and then locked.

That's not how you administrate a forum. The people who act in an inflammatory manner are warned, warned again, and then banned, so that the situation doesn't repeat itself.

Regardless, that thread shouldn't be locked. It was moved back to the GD section and from what I saw, there wasn't really anything that even called for a lock.

You made that thread to try and start shit with the Radiation community, and lo and behold, shit happened. You're lucky I didn't delete the whole thing. Now, if you're finished blowing hot air, I'll be "censoring" this thread.

Not everyone does threads to start shit, you know. I actually don't understand the merger either, the thread provided a way for the community to state the problems it has with it, since, you know, a community ain't supposed to be made of admins.

I however think this one post struck close to home. In fact, I think it's a similar situation that what happened to me before. I'm not justifying myself but I'm just saying, this kinda thing's are not one sided, and you are clearly contributing to it, as is Phry. It is not fair to be silenced and deemed as someone irresponsible when in reality you're causing half of it.

I never said you can't voice your problems with the merger, just don't do it in the public forum. That isn't the only way to contact us. It's asking for problems when you post a thread about how the merger has failed and was a bad idea, right in front of the people in the other community. It's the job of the admins to represent the playerbase by compiling people's opinions, filtering out the vitriol, and presenting views in a calm and rational manner. And there's a difference between locking a thread and censoring one. Censoring would be me deleting it, or editing the posts to say propaganda nonsense.

And I didn't cause any of this. I made one comment in that thread, urging us not to criticize each other's standards of role-play, and then I locked it. What an abusive admin I am.

I didn't aim that comment at you, I aimed it at the whole administration. If you want to take it personally, well, okay.

I didn't start that thread with the intention of stirring anything up. I started it up with the intention of finding out who else noticed and, perhaps, what exactly both communities wanted to do to tackle it. (Be it working to be a more unified community or moving apart). If it failed that looks just as bad on our community, so it's really not as if i'm targetting Eshira/whateveritisrightnow players by making said thread.
