Cyril is usually seen wearing light plate armor and blue clothing underneath. His blond hair usually pokes through the bottom rim of his helmet while his crisp blue eyes are usually wide open and alert. On his side, he carries a long sword, usually concealed by a scabbard. The sword itself is a little more than four feet long and covered in enchantment runes. The guard of it appears to be fashioned out of gold all the way to the pommel.
-Backstory-
Cyril was born in middle Exemplar, under his mother, a cobbler, and his father, a guard. He lived his childhood similar to most others, except with a surplus of teenage angst. Cyril, in his teenage years, became a thief, stealing small things at first, loaves of bread, bottles of wine, but as he got more used to the habit, took larger and larger things. One of his final heists was to try and rob a potion shop, but the alchemist outwitted the young boy, long enough for the guard to arrive and take him away. Cyril's father, disgusted by his son, cast him out into the streets, where he lived for five years. Cyril became an urchin, feeding off of what he could, and trying to do whatever work their was.
Eventually, Cyril got a job to deliver something to the caretaker of the nearby graveyard. When Cyril arrived, he found the caretaker dead of a heart attack. This led to Cyril's rise, he quickly applied for, and became the next caretaker, since it was such a boring job that most never wanted it. But after seeing what some people were buried with, Cyril became fully interested in the concept of grave-robbing.
In three years, Cyril made his fortune, after picking off of the gold and items that people were buried with, he found himself living luxuriously. He had a house of his own, and had a slowly growing mountain of gold to be made. He traveled north to Leyanara, and robbed from there as well, making a sizable killing after a year there, he decided to move South to Surna.
After getting lost in a storm, Cyril found himself off the road and near the ruins of a mansion, long since abandoned. In the ruin, there was a single grave, labeled, "Gurthurd, last Gatekeeper of Lyodin." Cyril's natural interest had him digging in minutes, reaching the body itself in an hour. Cyril heaved up and opened the coffin, holding inside it an aged set of bones, and a tempting looking sword, who's handle still shone brightly in the scabbard despite all its years of sitting.
Cyril reached delicately for the sword, but as soon as he grasped its handle, he felt something go terribly wrong. A massive, jolting pain went up his arm as he held the sword, he felt as if his very being stretched to accompany it, and once the pain subsided, he realized he couldn't let go. No matter what he tried, the sword was glued to one of his hands, he could never remove it. He also happened to notice that his clothes had changed since grasping it. No longer the white and golden trimmed shirt he once had, as it was now a blue tunic. His pants now a similar blue color, and his shoes suddenly leather boots.
Cyril searched through the coffin, finding among the bones and old book labeled, "The Gatekeeper's manual," reading over it, Cyril shoved the sword into the scabbard at his waist, freeing his hand as page one showed. Reading over it, he decided to finish making his way to Surna, hoping someone there would be able to tell him what the hell it is.

-Inventory-
The Sword Ky'indel Ky'indel is a heavily enchanted sword, made of Mithril, and a portion of Cyril's sacred field, making it impossible to separate it from him without Sacred Field manipulation, or to kill Cyril. The sword is also enchanted to be much stronger and more durable, able to take higher temperatures as well.
The sword's enchantments also change the clothes of the holder to the clothes of the Gatekeeper, a uniform of a blue tunic and blue pants, the Gatekeeper's insignia displayed on the back of the tunic.
LAST USE
Spoiler:
Ky'Indel's most recent purpose was for the protection of Lyodin, a warlord who lived early in human times. The sword was granted to the Gatekeeper, who protected the estate of Lyodin. When the estate fell under heavy siege, although fighting off many of the troops, the Gatekeeper died. The invaders left, and the previous surviving staff of the estate took care to bury both Guthurd, the last Gatekeeper, and Lyodin. The staff was somewhat aware of the nature of the sword, and stayed clear from it. They heaved it on top of Guthurd's corpse using pieces of wood, making sure nobody would have to come in contact with the blade. Both coffins were sealed, and the estate deserted to age.
THE SWORD ITSELF
Spoiler:
The sword Ky'Indel is ancient, and riddled with potential for its user. The origin of the sword came about hundreds of years ago, in a pact between Helm and Mystra. A contract that would guarantee an avatar of Helm's to protect Mystra's black pyramid. To assure that the Avatar wouldn't fall, Helm created a sword of his own blood and entrusted it to his Avatar. The Avatar, Redwall stood to protect the Pyramid when it was attacked by Cyric and Shar, and fought with the might of Helm in full, but unfortunately, the coming forces proved to be overpowering him.
In a pause, the Avatar laid down the sword and divided its power into ten books, blessing each, and praying that whoever found them would be able to undo whatever happened on that day.

So...he cant get rid of the sword, so say...he throws it off a cliff and he turns around and BING there it is? You know...if that is how it works that could make for some fun stuff like jokes or some cool sword play.

He can't get rid of it as in it won't come loose from his fingertips. He either has to be in bodily contact with it or keep it in its scabbard.

Well you could chop his arm off, that might work.

Well, impossible to disarm seems like a good way to put it. His arm would come off sooner than the sword would, and frankly, I'm not sure what would happen if you chopped off his arm. Which is why you always need Pat around.

Accepted.
If his hand is lopped off, it might very well remain with the hand. But he might be unable to walk to far once the sword has left him, still being bound to it. Like, he could drop the sword, but he couldn't walk very far away from it.
