Defiance

OOC: 'Defiance' is a series of linked quests, varied in difficulty and content, but with one overall goal - to bolster Surna's defensive capabilities. The successful completion of each will add something that will aid in the ultimate siege of Surna. These quests will come in chronological groups; if you sign on for one in a group, you cannot sign on for another in that group. The first group of quests will be posted now; expect updates here and there.

Also, that huge picture up there is the crest of the Talibarian Empire. Time to be nationalist, motherfuckers.

Series 1

Quest 1: Occitanian Pride

Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Outlook:Our agents in Occitan have found an able ally in Anton Gelerhte, an escaped arena slave turned revolutionary leader. Gelerhte is able and charismatic, with a growing following. However, as Occitan goes to war the proverbial noose is tying around Gelerhte's neck. We take care of our friends - following a raid on their encampment near Spielfeld, Gelerhte and a small band of followers has managed to escape into the Tiefwald. You are to meet with Gelerhte and an Imperial agent and evacuate them via a Cole Industries Airship. Know that though we have done our best to clear the way for Gelerhte, he is still closely pursued by agents of the Kaiser.

Objective: Smuggle a Kazuth Revolutionary Leader out of Occitan with his small band of followers.

Conditions: Players must exercise both combat and stealth abilities to avoid combat where it is possible. Light, fast, or characters with an ability in illusion would be favored.

Threats: The Tiefwald is notorious for vampire clan activities, as well as the occasional necromancer coven or bandit gang. Otherwise, expect a confrontation with Occitan authorities pursuing Gelerhte.


Quest 2: Motile Mine


Difficulty: Medium

Outlook:On the eve of war we've received troubling news; strange creatures have infested the nearby motile mine, disrupting worker activity and destroying equipment. Motile is a valuable, electrically-conductive material that would aid us significantly during the battle. A small team of volunteers is to ascertain the nature of the threat and, if at all possible, clear the mine of these creatures.


Objective: Clear the nearby Occitan mine of unknown hostiles, allowing work to begin again.

Conditions: Players with a wide range of abilities would be favorable given the unknown nature of the creatures.

Threats: Unknown at the moment; players will need to adapt to circumstances as they discover them.

actually the revolutionary thing's already started, and i'm guessing the motile mine is going to be started tonight for the master race of the british isles/europe and today for the yankee doodles and igloo-livers, eh.

I may need to put it off today, something important has come up in regards to my family.
