Fix their names, the majority of them are ripped or poorly changed from D&D or Forgotten Realm, fuck.

Quote :
Change Deity Name:
Kossuth
Selune
Shar
Oghma
?Tyr (greek mythology)
Ilmater
Hircine
?Talos (greek mythology)
Talona
Leira
Eldath
Mystra
Gond (oghma)
Milil
Kelemvor
Deneir (oghma)
Azuth
Sylornath
Sune
Waukeen
Lloth (poorly jumbled DnD goddess)
Tempus
Lliira
Shaundaku (forgotten realms, missing one letter)
Loviatar
Baator
Bhaal
Sharess
?Ossus (seems to be a planet or something from starwars)
Ferrix
Mellifluer
Moander
Cyric

Most of the things they represent are also very common or exactly the same as what they were ripped from.
?'s are optional but could be changed; The ones with 'Oghma' are ones that were also related to Oghma in their descriptions.

Also, I don't even get why the fuck The Saints are on there when all it is, is 'occitians derp' and not any actual description as to what the fuck they are.

THIS MEANS SUGGEST SOME YOU MOFOS, PARTICIPATE.

Tyr comes from norse mythology, not greek mythology.

Ossus is one of Psyche's characters. He named the character after the planet, yeah.

The Saints are beings that are worshiped but not deities in the classical sense, so they fall under the Pseudo-Deity category.

But this is a problem that is already being addressed. Possible name changes are welcome, though.

I think the problem of lore being ripped from DnD in general, i.e. place names, god names, etc. is the wider issue here.

But this is a smart idea and a proactive move. thumbs up oa.

Norse mythology and greek mythology are not related in the slightest, I'm offended.

You may as well say Odin is the same as Zeus or Hercules is the same as Thor.

On-Topic: I'd be all for changing god names or making new ones or whatever is decided.

Edit: Or that the Titans are the same as Frost Giants.

I'd like to keep a couple of names and positions, such as Tyr, Ao, and Bane.

But most are up to change. If anyone has a new deity idea / replacement deity idea, come to me or Xeloras. New deities will get preference over old.

Ao's been around too long. It'd be silly to change that now. If we're keeping Tyr, keep Ao.

Also Pantheon is a common name for an assortment of Gods, it wasn't stolen from forgotten realms.

Anyway, in my thinkings, I've come up with two replacement names that will be implemented unless someone has a better name.

For Kossuth, Aten.

For Selune, Selas.

I told Pat/Xeloras that Olden's canon needs to be redone and revamped, from dieties to nations to magic as a whole.

Try to guess if I was ignored.

It's a chore to get in to, but retconning just the recent events is not enough. For example, Mack admitted that Occitan was an ad-hoc solution for Olden's past problems with furries and mary sue characters, and has only grown to develop to rival Talibar's "society". Oh; and Occitan secretly had its own weave of magic, kept ICly and OOCly absolutely secret, mostly because the populace can't be trusted with that info, IC or OOC.

Also yeah Ossus' name was a reference to Star Wars yet has nothing to do with Star Wars. Deal with it nerds.
