| Physical Description (until I can find a picture): Volten is 6' tall, slightly thin, and possesses dark brown hair and eyes. He is rarely clean-shaven, usually having a five-o'-clock shadow.

Skills:- Flames of Aten
These purifying flames heal the faithful and damage the unholy. This spell puts holy flames in Volten's hands, working by touch.
- Blessing of Aten
Volten is immune to fire in all its forms. Volten will lose this ability should he ever waver from Aten's dogma.
- Transfer Life
A Demonic spell to transfer life between beings. To use this ability, Volten must make skin-to-skin contact with the target. He can then transfer his own life into another. While it's usually intended to work the other way, Volten is sworn not to, as that would violate his entire belief system.
- Demonology
Volten has extensive knowledge of Demons and their ilk, as well as summoning rituals. He would never attempt to summon a Demon, however.
- Magical Forensics
A standard Parietis spell, Volten can utilize a combination of True Sight, Magical Detection, and Scrying to examine a crime scene for any trace evidence.
- Strong-Willed
Volten has a Will that is extremely tough to break. This makes him stubborn, but a good magic user.
- Unarmed Combat, Staves
Volten is a skilled unarmed combatant. He shuns most weapons, as he is against killing, but a quarterstaff makes a good nonlethal weapon.
Biography: - Summarized Version:
Volten lived a life of privilege as the son of two well-to-do Incendians. He received a fine education, and joined the prestigious ranks of the Parietis, a nationwide Demon hunting and law enforcement organization.
His entire life changed, however, when his sister, eight years his junior, manifested Demonic traits. She was a Tiefling. It was then his eyes were opened to an entire underworld hidden from plain sight, where Tieflings were slaughtered wholesale simply for their appearance. Volten refused to let his sister become another victim, taking her away from everything, even his parents, who abhorred their own daughter.
Of course, it wasn't as easy as just walking away. He was declared a fugitive, with a half-Demon in tow, doubtless corrupted by her influence. He refused to believe such things, embracing the forbidden religion of Aten, and seeking a new way of living. He came to Surna.

Should a fight be inevitable...
1. Incapacitate, never kill.
2. Rule 1 need not apply to Demons.
3. Fight with as much honor as your opponent.
4. Do not use any dark arts unless they are both necessary and used for good.
5. Follow Aten's dogma in all things.
Enemies: Demons
To Volten, and any true Inferian, Demons are the Bane of Man, a blight on Aeria that must be wiped clean. Volten will kill them if necessary.
Deity: Aten
Aten worship is the new religion sweeping Inferia. Not even the Parietis can stamp it out. Volten is quite devout in his beliefs.
Inventory:- Hooded Robe: Basic black robes possessing many interior pockets, and a hood.
- Parietis Staff: A staff whose end is shaped like the symbol of the Parietis. It strengthens fire-based spells, and can channel Flames of Aten into a 5-foot cone.
- Coin Purse: 50 coins
Stash:- Parietis Robe: A dark red robe with the insignia of the Parietis sewn into both shoulders and the left breast. These robes are impervious to fire.
- Money: 200 coins
- Journal Stone: A tiny pebble with runes delicately carved into it.
Achievements / Titles:- Rook: Volten is, or was, the rank of Rook in the Parietis. The backbone of the Parietis, Rooks are above regular grunts and actually handle cases and fight Demons.
- Rebel: Volten is wanted in Inferia for insurrection against the government.
