Naga

The Naga are a species of snakelike beings. There are two different races that go by this name, The Water Naga, and the Desert Naga. The Water Naga are little more than animals, and shall be saved for later, however, the Desert Naga are an old race, who were once one of the most powerful races in the land.

Times have changed, however. The Naga are not longer a populous race, but they still manage to keep a few nations.

The Naga body consists of a snakelike tail, reaching from their stomach downwards. This "tail" can grow to be as long as 6 to 10 feet, making the Naga a fairly heavy race. From the bottom of the chest up, they look like a normal human, with a few differences. The often have snakelike slitted eyes, may occasionally have a patch or two of scales upon themselves, and some may even have multiple arms, these Naga are usually enlisted into the army, as being able to carry multiple weapons can be a very useful battle technique.

The Desert Naga have a very unique culture, compared to the other races of the world. They have developed into a very Romanesque\Persian lifestyle, loving luxury and culture. They love life, and show it, the Naga nobles are often known to throw large parties for the slightest event, always trying to outdo eachother. They are, however, very xenophobic, being bitter at their fall from power, they are especially bitter at the humans, who have taken their place as the most important of the races. However, not all Naga hate the other races, it is not uncommon, especially for the younger ones, to very willingly greet and show hospitality to other races, however, it is still very rare to see any race besides a Naga or similar reptilian race in one of their cities.

The Naga are a female dominated race, almost always being lead by a Grand Queen. The males of the species are usually craftsmen, guards, or soldiers, while the females occupy most of the higher positions.

The Naga reproduce much like a snake... not getting into detail, but they give birth to live young, and can only reproduce with other Naga, or a similar reptilian species.

Perhaps need an expanse of culture and history--History might be later, considerig it's a race that once had power (?)
