Biography:

The band of three mercenaries trudged through the swampland. Having being sent by 'The Boss' to take out a tricky Elf escapee, they were low on supplies and there was no sight or tracks of anything or anyone. Chris, who had been appointed Enforcer of the group since Marcus' and Ollie's departure, along with Till's leaving had been hard pressed to make some ground before resting. Lorenz was getting restless, talking about killing the others in his sleep, Chris observed. The other member, Landers, had his battle-axe at the ready, as if he sensed trouble at any moment. But as a fact, there was no movement but the long hard road ahead of them. A few hours passed, they sat down at an open clearing, unaware of the sharp arrowheads pointed at the group from the trees. It was a trap, and they were to fall into the worst part of it. Snap. The sound of a released arrow pierced the air, and with all their training, the two dived out of the way. Then, the noise stopped with a thud. Chris looked back to see Landers, grasping at the large arrow in his chest. As he let out a cry of pain, he slumped. The arrows were poisoned. More fired from the trees, peppering the ground and trees around them. Seeing an opportunity to get out, Chris moved quickly. Making his way through a slalom of objects and obstacles, he made his way through an old path, wandering from miles to get away from the carnage behind him. Ending up on a brick road, Chris was picked up by a passing group of Dwarves. Just his luck. It turned out this guy had helped an Elf not a few days ago to get the same way they were going. Chris saw this as an opportunity. Getting off at the right stop, he scoured the villages and towns for any sign of the Elf. Finding a trail, he followed for more and more days, eventually ending up at the caves north of Brücklheim, on the border of Occitan. Confronting the escapee, Chris learnt of things not told in the mission briefing. The Elf was an experiment. It turned out that the Boss was not just a criminal mastermind, but was in league with the new Occitanian Fatherland's government. Taking a change of heart, Chris accompanied the Elf on his mission to flee to Talibar. Not that far off, they set out, arriving at Surna but a few weeks later. Shortly after, newspapers and flyers were around the White Palace, informing all of Chris and the other members of the company's deeds. The Boss was made a powerful government figure, the public blind to his crimes. Christoph soon became a rebel soldier, far from his home. He left his father, his country, his home. He left them for Talibar, and a new life.
