" With a werewolf, I can try to save an innocent soul. With a Vampire, the battle is already lost: there is no soul to save. "
(A picture of Zach's deceased Master, the outfit just a template for Zach's appearance)
Age 45 (Physically about 25-30, 7ths of 7ths have slightly prolonged lives, and age slower)
Gender Male
Race Human - Tirnan (Seventh Son of a Seventh Son)
Birthplace A village near Tirnan.
Faction The Concordic Knights
Skills
Spoiler:
Silver Fire { | | | | | | | | | | } Zach is now able, a gift from Tyr himself, to control offensive Silver Fire at a novice level, crudely shaping it to fit his methods of attack; be it crossbow, forming bolts of raw silver fire to direct as a bolt at his enemies; using it as a temporary purification method as potent as silver; enchancing his weapons, such as his staff; or just crude flame outbursts.
Upon further worship, upholding of Tyr's dogma, and a strike against a stronghold of Shar, Tyr has justly rewarded him once more. He is now able to control offensive Silver Fire at a novice level but his alround potency and energy tax are increased and reduced (respectively). Whereas previously he would become exhausted fairly quickly from continous use, it still is a major tax on his energy levels, but the effects are lessened. The actual damage and duration of the burn is now slightly increased, meaning his attacks will hit slightly harder, and last slightly longer.
Crossbows { | | | | | | | | | | } Zach has been utilizing crossbows as a part of his profession for all his life, not including the harsh training instilled within him from his master.
Daggers { | | | | | | | | | | } His skills with a dagger have dropped drastically, no longer training or using them. They're just a spare blade when the opportunity arises.
Bladed Staves { | | | | | | | | | | } Zach's training with a bladed staff is absolute. His master was brutal with instilling him with the fighting techniques with a staff, specifically one with a silver blade attached to the top, via a complex latch mechanism. Zack, however, does not have such a staff, but does have the measurements and materials required to make one. His skill, he believes, surpasses that even of his master's.
Tracking and Survival Skills { | | | | | | | | | | } Another harsh point of training that Zack endured. His master strongly drilled the basics, and then advanced tracking and survival skills. On some occasions, he was lead deep into the woods, and expected to survive and return to town. He has sometimes had to hunt for his own food, when work was thin.

Biography
Beginnings
Spoiler:
He was seven, just a boy. He remembered his father, talking to the grizzled man in the large coat just outside the door that frosty morn. His mother ushered him back indoors, to eat, saying that his father needed his privacy. Before he was scooted out of earshot, however, he had already heard those few, important words: "The boy is a Seventh?", "Fifty coin fer' training the lad", "Sanctus Blade..."
Next morning, he awoke to the sound of heavy knocking upon the front door. Two of his brothers were still sleeping, as were one of his sisters, so he rose himself, to answer the door. The man was there again, towering, grizzled, and most definitely imposing. "Ah, it's good to see you Zach. Just the lad I was lookin' fer." "H-hello, sir." "Could you fetch your dad for me?" "Yes." He retreated back into the house, his father practically bumping into him. Who was this man, and why was he looking for him? Looking up at his fathers gaze, he placed a hand on his son's shoulder, and turned him around gently, nudging him back to the door. Father and son gazed once again at the odd man. "I trust you've told him, Arthur?" "Not yet, Gregory." "Father?" The boy looked up at his father questioningly. "Zach..this is Gregory. He's a member of an organisation called the "Sanctus Blade". You're..a seventh son of a seventh son, as you know Zach, making you..a candidate for their organisation." By his father's tone of voice, it didn't sound like a voluntary position. The Witcher handed my father a coin bag, and my father hesitantly nudged me towards my new Master. "But...father?" "Don't worry son, just go with Gregory, he'll keep you safe, we'll see you again soon." Zach never did see his family again.
Born in Blood
Spoiler:
As Zack walked away from the house he was born in, from his family, and his life up until now, he looked up at Gregory's carriage. Two black chestnut mare's snorted, shaking their heads, and kneading the earth lightly. It was clear they were eager to be off. He told Zach to wait by the front of the wagon, as he went around to the back, covered by a wooden framework with a cloth material stretched over it. Zach waited patiently, patting one of the horses on it's nose inquisitively. As he did, he became aware of a shuffling from the back of the wagon.
Gregory was walking back around, dragging a man with a sack over his head in-tow. Zach was quite alarmed. Gregory dropped the man with the sack around his head on the ground. His hands were tied behind his back, with what looked like a metal thread, twisted around on itself until it formed a binding. Gregory then pulled the sack off the man's head, and moved behind him. He was a fairly muscular man, with short cropped brown hair, and extremely curious amber eyes. He regarded Zach with a look; it was a look he would never forget, as if Zach was a piece of meat to be eaten - food. Gregory reached forward, a dagger in his hand, pressing it to the side of the man's face. The man hissed horribly, and exposed his teeth to Zach, and it was that moment that he realised that this man was not human. Fangs stuck out from either side of his mouth, and Zach recoiled further. "This is our enemy, Zach. This is what we must hunt, what we must slay. They are a filthy blight upon our race, and they are to be hated, and above all, distrusted. Were our places changed, he would drink your blood dry, without a second thought. This is the manner of animal we cull. Here." Greogry was holding out the knife. As Zach tore his gaze away from the man, he looked at the knife, and then Gregory. "What is he- it?" "A Vampire, lad. An animal, intent only on feeding upon you. Put it down, Zach." Zack hesitated, staring from the blade, to the Vampire. "I know you can feel it's evil, even at this age. Concentrate on it, it's energy." As Zach begun to concentrate, he began to feel increasingly aware of a feeling of darkness, of unhapiness - and of evil eminating from this creature, having originally passed it off as nerves. "End it's miserable life. Had I not tracked it down, it could have hurt your family. It's intentions were clear by it's presence here." "B-but..." Gregory moves around to Zach's side, placing a heavy hand on his shoulder, and pressing the dagger into his much smaller hand. "Drive it into his heart. Know where that is? Left side, upper chest. Stab them there and they don't recover. Know how to hold a blade?" Zach had put a pig down on the farm, once. Perhaps Gregory had known this, perhaps he didn't, but it was easier to take the knife from him. "He would have killed your family...your sisters...your brothers...all of them. Fed on them like the filthy parasite he is. End him." The dagger felt incredibly heavy, and cumbersome in his hands, and he continued to hesitate, before slowly raising the dagger. Suddenly, the Vampire began to move towards him on it's knees. "Kill it, now, Zach!" It's mouth opened, those hideous fangs revealed once more, and he imagined them stabbing into his neck, draining him dry, and shuddered with horror, suddenly stabbing out, his eyes squeezed shut. There was a sickening wet noise, and the dagger was no longer in his hand, and he slowly reopened his eyes. The Vampire let a quiet sigh escape from between it's fangs, and it fall back into the dirt with a thud, the knife embedded in it's heart. He looked at his trembling hands, slightly blood-splattered, and then back the Vampire. Did he really just kill it? He...assumed so. Looking up at Gregory, he noticed he was smiling slightly. "You did good, lad. Better than I could have hoped. Hop up into the passenger seat." He could remember climbing up into the seat, but the time after that became a blur.
Alignment Lawful Neutral Although distrustful in nature he usually works against the larger scheme of darkness. Generally a force of good.
Favored Enemy He specializes mostly on Vampires and Werewolves, but has been taught by the Sanctus Blade to fend off a wide variety of common magical creatures that could be a threat.
Favored Weapon Having had his staff restored, it is his favourable weapon. Otherwise, his hand will delve into his cloak and withdraw his pistol-sized crossbow with shocking speed. His two most common forms of attack.

Haha, badass. I'd accept this.

Yeah, it was late last night and i was doing last minute editting. I was going to go dig up the actual quest rewards but i just put x3 as a guess.
Thank you for bringing it heer Markka.
And to be honest Mack, i dunno if you've ever seen me RP, but i'm really not the type to exploit something like that for a few extra potions.

I suspect alot of people. The fact that you HAVEN'T exploited something doesn't mean you WON'T.
Only people I know are excellent RPers I really trust. Until you've proven yourself as one of those to me, you remain on my list of people who I shall not grant any opportunity to asspull or become too overpowered. No offence meant.
And don't ask me how to prove yourself, if you do, you just permanently marked your name on that list.

In chronological order:
Specific plot points with Maw:
He encountered Maw once more, just after discovering Heldrak, and having a conversation with him. The fight that insued wounded Zack badly, and he survived due the distracting intervention Heldrak provided him with. Despite having knicked Maw on the neck with his staff blade, he only managed to fire a bolt into the creature's gut, one of the silver clockwork bolts he had been saving for Maw since his first encouter with it. The bolt would no doubt have caused Maw a great amount of pain, not just being silver, but also being poisoned with a substance that heightens pain receptors. (Much like the poison produced by the Platypus =D. Zack is sniper and makes use of natural australian outback.
Not really though, he got it off that cave Goblin that has an obsession with poisons.) After the fight Zack crawled, fairly battered, to Lacuna's lake side, before falling unconcious from bloodloss. Lacuna nursed him back to health over a period of days.
Updates with the character in general:
Zack has since adopted a small kazuth girl, still a toddler, aswell as also looking after Lucy. He also looks over Katie, allowing her to feed off him after her Hunger became too great and she nearly killed a man. Every other day or so since then Zack has decided a stable diet of his blood should be sufficient to keep her hunger under control.
Specific plot points in the Staircase and Lucy:
Having freed Lucy completely from the staircase, she now dwells in Aeria, also under Zack's care. However, the price for having freed her has meant that Zack has undertaken the curse that is being the Staircase's guardian, being forced to return there atleast once a day, should he forget, he would literally be ripped back into the realm, being soley a being of the Staircase now.
