"Talibar is at war. Her cities threatened, her lands violated, her people frightened. It's capital, the largest, most heavily defended city in the world, a city that's walls have never been breached, has been burned to the ground.
The Empire faces the most deadliest threat it has ever known, her enemies supranational, insidious, and numerous.
Beneath us lies miles upon miles of tunnels, harboring the vast swarms of the insect species known as the Abesquilians. Numbering in the low millions, they threaten to bury us under an avalanche of ceaseless assault. They strip our land dry, siphoning from it substance and power from the corpses of our people.
And in the shadows waits a darker, more mysterious force. Come from the distant land of Kerodil, they have already become known for endless atrocities. In the shadow of the war against Inferia, they came from the north, sweeping through, burning and sterilizing the fertile, powerful kindgoms of Aurelus and Gikarta. Just as quickly as they came, they vanished. Plundering the slaughtered Gikartan's vast merchant fleet, they have come to Talibar with the same dark intent in mind. It is suspected they were responsible for the recent plague that nearly left Surna empty; their agents are the shadows, the Shades; and the only survivors of their slaughters speak of untold horrors. They are a shadowy, multi-headed threat, ever adapting, ever changing.
Talibar has never needed the aid of it's citizens more. And now is your chance.
Though I dare not mention the details, I have worked with Imperial Agents for a period of two months, devising a way to strike back against our enemy. I offer you now a chance to take the defense of your home into your own hands.

Description:After a period of study and personal experience, Zayl Rathman has devised a way, through necromancy, to force vast numbers of Abequilians under his control. He is being sponsored in his endeavor by Imperial materials, and the Abesquilians that are forced under his control will be used in the war effort.
Zayl and a group of mages, accompanied by a protecting force of 1,000 Crepidonis, will travel to a location east of Surna, just south of the city Exemplar. A spell this vast requires power, stability, and range that can only be provided by a series of enchanted energy storing stones, interconnected to a master stone that draws power directly from the source of the Vindicator's power, The Surge. While Zayl and his team of mages remain on the surface, protected by the detachment of Crepidonis, a team of volunteers will be required to traverse into the caves below, a hive of more than 300,000 Abesquilians. Requiring tact, skill, stealth, and speed, they will have to place the series of stones in key positions before they draw the attention of the main swarm.
Equipment (Per Participant): - Grappling hooks - these can be used to scale obstacles that are bound to lie in the caves. - Healing potion x 3 - potions that can be used to heal wounds. - 5 Anchor Stones - The series of enchanted stones that are the focus of this mission. - Imperial designed Gasmasks - The insects dissolve into a toxic fluid upon death, emitting mildly dangerous fumes.

Also I'll bet any amount of money that the majority of Surna still won't care that the nation is crumbling and their demise is pretty close.
