A Pact

"After having escaped prison and stolen the goods she felt she required, Tzakuto leaves for the forests, hellbent on revenge. However, unnoticed by the young queen, she is being followed by a dark and looming shadow."

Tzakuto Zantaria: What is with this mist ... Now of all times, in broad daylight.

*** The mist clings closer, closer yet.

*** Tzakuto Zantaria clears her throat, gripping tightly onto her magical tome as she quickens her pace down the road.

Tzakuto Zantaria: Great ... I can't see a thing.

*** She'd hit a rock.

*** Tzakuto Zantaria trips over the rock, landing face-first into the ground. She slowly stumbles upwards, however, groaning. "Oufh.. W-what.."

*** A shadow would loom in the mist, a cold hand brushing her face.

T'zeetch'Rak: It seemss....a bug has entered my web...

*** The voice is harsh, raspy...unnatural.

*** Tzakuto Zantaria lets out a yelp, backing up. She loses her tome in the process, her wings flutter by instinct. She looks for a way out.

Tzakuto Zantaria [YELL]: Whose there!? S-show yourself! I.. I am Queen Zantaria and I order you to show yourself to me!

*** The shadow would loom right beside her, a voice in her ear. "Right here...my dear Queen."

*** Tzakuto Zantaria turns around, noticing Rak. "You!"

T'zeetch'Rak: Yes, I.

Tzakuto Zantaria: H-how dare you sneak yourself up on a queen!? I am royalty, and I demand respect!

T'zeetch'Rak: I do not respect your authority.

Tzakuto Zantaria: ..If I still had my hive, I would have you hung!

*** Tzakuto Zantaria shakes her fist at Rak, frowning deeply.

T'zeetch'Rak: I would see you try..but it would be a waste of time...

*** Tzakuto Zantaria lets out a sigh, crossing her arms as she inspects Rak, having somewhat calmed down.

*** He's a semi-horrifying sight.

Tzakuto Zantaria: ..What are you, anyway? Do you live in that disgusting, pitiful town of Surna?

T'zeetch'Rak: No.

T'zeetch'Rak: What i am is not much of your concern.

Tzakuto Zantaria: Everything is my concern. For you see, one day, all of this ....

*** Tzakuto Zantaria spins around, extending her arms to point at every direction around her.

Tzakuto Zantaria: Will-

T'zeetch'Rak: Will be yours.

Tzakuto Zantaria: H-how did you..

T'zeetch'Rak: Yes...i know your type.

*** Tzakuto Zantaria lets out a uncomfortable snigger, gazing down upon Rak. "I can only assume that you are one of those ..."

Tzakuto Zantaria: Aimless types. A instrument, rather than a musician.

T'zeetch'Rak: I am not a blunt instrument. I have sharp mind.

Tzakuto Zantaria: Yet you are no musician, like me ... And I require a "sharp minded" individual, like you-

Tzakuto Zantaria: -To aid me in a rather ... Complicated task.

*** Tzakuto Zantaria swallows hard, hoping for the best response.

T'zeetch'Rak: I wonder how your soul might taste.

Tzakuto Zantaria: I--I.. I can assure you, my tiny friend that my soul is anything but pure ... I wouldn't taste very well.

Tzakuto Zantaria: -However,-

T'zeetch'Rak: Purity makes not a soul.

Tzakuto Zantaria: W-well, true .. B-but still ...

Tzakuto Zantaria: Anyway...

T'zeetch'Rak: Those with power...

T'zeetch'Rak: Those with power display it, as an instinct.

T'zeetch'Rak: Just as you did then.

T'zeetch'Rak: I believe you do indeed have power.

T'zeetch'Rak: I wish to share in it.

Tzakuto Zantaria: I have a proposition, one that you would most likely enjoy ... You wish to share in my power, I understand that.

Tzakuto Zantaria: Many do.

Tzakuto Zantaria: If you aid me, in conquering this world from the disgusting cancer that is humanity ... And of course, the other races.

Tzakuto Zantaria: I am willing to feed you as many souls as you could possibly eat. You'll look like a bloated pig once I rule the world.

T'zeetch'Rak: Souls do not fatten.

T'zeetch'Rak: Shall we...shake on it?

*** Tzakuto Zantaria makes a wide grin, reaching from chin-to-chin, she holds out her hand, with evil intent. So let there be rhymes, with little descent.

*** T'zeetch'Rak slowly takes her hand with both hands, an instant chill seeping up her arm, through her very blood.

*** T'zeetch'Rak a grin of similar maliciousness creeps across his pale lips. "T'zeetch, my dear Queen."

*** The sky turns pale, and dark as the sun is blocked out by clouds. Thunder is heard in the background as rain starts to drop from the grey sky.

*** Tzakuto Zantaria shudders as she feels a mysterious chill move up her spine. She retracts her hand, standing idly. "Let it be known..."

Tzakuto Zantaria: That from this day forward, I, Queen Zantaria, will conquer this world ...

*** Tzakuto Zantaria turns her eyes up towards the hill behind her. "Starting with Surna."

*** T'zeetch fades off into the mist, ignoring her proclamation.

*** Tzakuto Zantaria turns back around, her eyes meeting nothing but mist. She looks around for a faint moment, before walking off into the distance. She remembers to pick up the tome that she lost.

Tzakuto Zantaria: A soul-eater, huh ...
