The Occitanian Empire strikes a blow against the north.
Date: 18th of November
Author: Dietrich Lindt
Justice, my friends. Justice is about to be dealt out in the north. The Occitanian iron fist marches upwards today as 'diplomats' from a group of uncivilized dog-shits tried to negotiate with the Kaiser for the surrender of several forts and towns in the northern part of our glorious nation. This group of and Saints-damned raiders call themselves "norsemen", and are nothing but barbarians living up north. As the 'diplomats' put forward their suggestion, they also stated that their 'army' had already begun razing and plundering villages up north. As the Kaiser heard this, he exclaimed his unwillingness to negotiate with "minderwertige Auslanders". The diplomats were arrested, taken out into the town square of Occitan City, and then had their legs and arms pulled off by Occitanian Order members. After this they were left to bleed to death on the street.

A great force of legionaires and cavalry is already moving to guard the small villages from these uncivilized Auslanders.
The leader of the force, Kommandant Franz Goering, also said that he will spare no extent to slaughter these undeserving Auslanders for even stepping foot inside Occitan.

OOC: i'll be posting all these in a single thread from now on, to stop clogging up the forums

OOC: loloccitanianbrutality. In a couple days, there'll be a report about how the kaiser used blood from several dead bodies to give his chamber a new coat of paint. But, yeah, Aerian WORLD NEWS.

OOC: Kain, Occitan might as well be Aeria. It's more comprehensive lore-wise than Talibar.

**A crudely translated issue of the Occitanian post sits pinned to a billboard in Surna. It is noticeable that it was translated by an outside party, as words have been crossed over and replaced with the Talibarian translations in red ink.**

The Kaiser shows great wisdom and mercy.

My friends, today the Kaiser announced that he is sending envoys of diplomats and ambassadors to many different towns, cities, and villages in our neighbouring nation of Talibar. The Talibarian people have suffered greatly from the hands of armies dealing with dark magic and evil, and the Kaiser has decided that he will offer these people military and supplies as aid, and protect their frontiers from any outside threat that they might trouble them. No more details have been released.

Friends, our neighbours need us now, more than anyone ever has. And we will help them in this time of great need. We have not always seen matters from the same side, or by the same sword. But for now, Occitanian fire and arms will keep them warm and safe during this, a cold era of death and evil.

OOC: soup with you

WAR!
Date: 21st of November
Author: Dietrich Lindt
Today, the Kaiser has prayed to the Saint of forgiveness to find it in his heart to forgive the people of Talibar.

As several of the envoys sent to Occitan have finally returned, one of them returned with very grim news. The late Botschafter Brandt was killed yesterday during negotiations between him and a "Lord Hook".

The Botschafter was escorted by the renowned war-hero and commander of the Occitanian Army, Oberführer Wilhelm Bergdorf, as well as the supreme commander of the Legion, Sturmbannführer Dietrich Mitgleib.

"We entered into negotiation, willing to offer Talibar food, supplies, and military aid. They first refused the aid altogether, so the Botschafter attempted to convince them to accept it for their own good. That is when this 'Lord Hook' began trying to order me and Dietrich outside." Says the Oberführer.

"When we refused, and stated that this was for our Botschafter's safety, he insisted on bringing in his own man.
This was fine, thought me and Dietrich. But after only mere minutes, this bodyguard of Lord Hook began issuing threats against our nation, and calling our military sloppy, and telling us to get into shape.
Infuriated by these sudden accusations, I simply stomped the ground angrily, and a bust of their late kaiser fell to the ground.

As I leaned down to pick it up, the bodyguard tried to stab me in the back. Me and Dietrich, of course, began to fight back. What else could we do?

We attempted several times to simply back off and give him some room, in hopes that this would end the fighting.
This was not the case. After several attempts to calm this assailant, he suddenly lashed out for the Botschafter! Me and Dietrich tried our best to save the Botschafter, but it was too late. This cowardly Auslander used him as a human shield. He then proceeded to stab the Botschafter through!
Infuriated, I pinned the Auslander soldier to the ground, while Dietrich loaded up his siege-crossbow, and aimed it straight at lord Hook. Both Lord Hook and the soldier began chanting in some foreign language, must have been demonic. The room started feeling heavier, and we realised there was magic going on. Dietrich quickly fired his crossbow, and I drove the soldier through.

With the lord Hook pinned to the wall, and the soldier hopefully dead, we tried to leave the negotiations. But it was not over yet.

We thought lord Hook to be dead, but black magic was keeping him alive. He suddenly lifted his hands at us, and fired two spells. From one hand, shot flame, not nearly as powerful as our Occitanian flammen. But dangerous none the less. As Dietrich was struck by the flame, a large lance of ice formed from Hook's second hand.
This piece of ice suddenly began pressing forwad, and impaled Dietrich in the shoulder. I had no choice but to drag him out of there, while under pursuit by the weakling "soldiers" of Talibar."

This story confirms it. The Talibarians are not willing to accept our aid, but they are willing to attempt assassination upon one of our most beloved military leaders.

The Kaiser has prayed to the saint of forgiveness to find it in his heart to forgive these Auslanders. But today, even Raidel cries for war.

And so it shall be.

Let every Auslander, young and old. Hear the cries of war, as the mighty Occitanian fist of flames envelope their pitiful nation.

Let every Auslander, woman and man. Hear the cries of the dying, as they lay burning in their streets.

Let every Auslander, adult and child. See what happens to those who defy the will of the Kaiser, as their loved ones sit upon the Kreuz, slowly dying before their eyes.

This is war, Freunde. And war is what Occitan does best.

OOC: you have the first legionary arsefaces to thank for this, talibar

Assassination!
Date: 21st of November
Author: Dietrich Lindt
The Occitanian Order have just reported a foiled assassination attempt on our beloved Kaiser. As the Kaiser was having his supper, the assassin apparantly jumped down from the ceiling and landed on his roasted duck. Infuriated, the Kaiser smashed the legs out from under the assailant and quickly drove his meat-cutting knife through the back of the clumsy assassin's head as he laid there, his face soaking in a bowl of potato-soup.

Search of the assassin's body and house revealed a contract from one "Lord Hook", the murderer of Botschafter Brandt the day before yesterday, which agreed upon a payment of 5000 talibarian gold coins upon a completed job, and also a sack containing just 5000 gold.

The Kaiser has deemed this the most pathetic assassination attempt in the history of the royal house, and has condemned all Talibarians to death for this pathetic attempt.

The assassin's body now sits upon a cross in the town square, the Kaiser's knife still embedded in his skull. The gold coins are planned on being melted down and reforged into nails which will be used to nail Talibarian prisoners to the Kreuze of Occitan.

OOC: ARE YOU EVEN TRYING, HOOK?
