Backstory Blurb

Glacus was born to a high-class family of a wizard and a sorceress with a few other children, both working for the Archivists before her much like their parents and grandparents before them. Magic has been the family's speciality through years. In her early years, Glacus took her place as a student in one of the Archivists' many schools. She proved to be very skilled with weaving and defensive magics, particularly with arcane ones. Controlling summoned creatures and beasts was always something she could handle from early on, while she lacked a bit in her destructive spells. She joined the Archivists after her training was complete and was relatively quick to make it to the higher ranks at older age, eventually ending up in the position of High Librarian.

I have two problems with this character.
First, why is Energy Manipulation such a common skill nowadays? It's not the cornerstone of all magic, it's a very rare power that isn't properly taught, like resurrection.
Second I frown upon character pictures that are not belonging to my character folder.

The way I've been interpreting it, it actually is. The way I view it, it's essentially 'General Magic Ability', in that it's energy management, using the right amount and in the right way. It's not necessarily like Kain's power, which would manifest at very, very high levels.
That said, I agree with Psyche--the skill is way too high. The level to be very good at spellcasting actually doesn't need to be that high. For example, Zayl, as far as I remember, doesn;t have a tremendously high skill.
Also, one other thing; Energy Manipulation involves the manipulation of energies coming purely from your own Sacred Field. Normal spell casting uses this energy as a catalyst for a much larger Weave reaction. Energy manipulation/ General Magic simply means that you get better at managing your own personal energy to create these reactions.

Mack has informed me that Energy Manipulation is now just basic magic ability, mostly just manipulating simple magical energies like moving fire, and the old Energy Manipulation needs a new different name.

Hrm. I'll bump the skill down a notch. And yeah, I've been living under the impression that "Energy Manipulation" is just moving energy around and managing it. Then again, why couldn't you have a high Energy Manipulation skill and thus have a high efficiency when casting spells? Or am I entirely mistaken? Anyhow, bumped it down by a point. Tell me if its still outrageously high.
Also, sorry to say Psyche but none of those pictures struck my fancy.
