Thran Khar was born in a farm house in Arsgarby, the largest town in possession of the Kanza tribe, a community of warrior-like people who over the years have taken over a large portion of the surrounding area. Thran's parents were relatively kind to him, but strict, when he turned eight they started to make him do chores and work around the farm for his food, even getting to stay in his home for the night had to be earned, this did teach Thran discipline however and he continued to work for his entire childhood. During this time the Kanzas continued to conquer the other tribes, this sparked fear in the remaining people who were wary that they to would be taken over, they joined together to form an army powerful enough to fight back the Kanzas, and it was not long before a war broke out.
By age nineteen Thran's father was forced to join the army, leaving Thran and his mother to run the farm themselves, being one of the only sources of food in the village massive amounts of stress was put on Thran to supply the hundreads of soldiers fighting. A year later and it was clear that the Kanza tribe was losing the war, their territory slowly being taken over, Thran could never supply enough food to the army, earning him the scourn of almost the entire tribe, he became quite cold and uncaring for most people, his mother had become very depressed and sick, unable to do much but give Thran someone to care for. Suddenly, almost out of nowhere the news hit Thran that his father had fallen in battle and soon after his mother died of illness, this caused something in his head to snap, sending him into a fit of rage for quite some time, on the verge of suicide he decided to join the fight himself and enlisted into the army.
For three more years he fought a losing battle, his drive for vengence and the hope that he may one day experience the same fate as his father were the only things keeping him going, extreme loses on both sides dramaticly slowed down the war, the Kanza were however still being defeated on almost every battleground, only having enough resources to stop them from starving to death. Thran had gained quite alot of skill with some close combat weapons over his fighting years, most notably longswords and hatchets, a lack of proper order when it came to weapons within the tribe allowed him to often wield both these weapons in either hand, combining this with his berserker like fighting style is what kept him alive. Not long after the beginning of his forth army year, the final battle of the war dawned upon him, both sides gathered their remaining forces, Kanza had to protect their final defensive position, Arsgarby, Thran's home town...
The ensuing battle was fierce, both forces fought with all their might, however it was not long until the invading army poured into the streets of Arsgarby, burning down every building they came across and looting what they could find. Thran battled the enemy as best he could, hacking down a few of them until he was forced to retreat due to an arrow wound, he almost broke down into tears as he looked at his birthplace, crumbling before him in a wave of fire and death. Thran kept running, knowing the battle was lost, the chaos of the fighting letting him escape the town into the nearby woods, he stopped for breath, suprised with himself that he didnt simply stay there and die. He tore a piece from the clothing under his armor and wrapped it around his wound, he did not know where to go next, but he had to leave his people behind, setting off slowly through the forest.
It was not long before he came across a family of Travelers, who helped heal his wound and gave him a small amount of food in return for a few gold pieces. Thran stayed with the family for a couple weeks and slowly he overcame his greif and sorrow, even though he still held a strong sadness for the loss of his people he had no desire to return to Arsgarby, knowing that it would be a burning wreck. Thran decided to leave the travelers, disliking the constant moving around, he wanted to start over his life in another settlement and carried a hope that he may some day forget his past....

Great picture, nice theme and backstory, nothing to really complain of the attributes or abilities, nor inventory...
Go ahead.
Now to wait until he does something and someone yells "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"

Maybe shaving a point off one handed swords would be nice, he's awfully close to a mastery, but besides that, I'm willing to accept this.

Cup of coffee in my hand, idly watching TV, a lack of much else to do for a few hours, you sir gain the honour of a full Phry character assesment c:
Decent themesong.
Pretty good picture - can appreciate how hard it is to find good ones these days, having had to find one recently myself.
Backstory is consistent, mostly. Suitably long and detailed.
The name is quite original too, that should be appreciated, very barbarian sounding my respec.
Hm, now, the skills. I agree with Xeloras, the one-handed sword skill is rather high.
My advice is to just remove the axe and single-sword skills and keep the beserker style two-weapon skill as it is.
You'd probably find that a barbarian tribe such as his would worship some kind of minor warrior diety.
Other than that, it looks good, though i'd strongly reccomend taking the course of action I suggested regarding the skills and maybe adding a diety born of your imagination.

Following your advice i took a point off Swords, though i'd like to keep the individual weapon skills there. As for a Deity... I hope it dosent too badly affect my character but i just dont think he should have one.
It's just that, worshipping a diety has actual rewards in this universe, so to be an atheist you ususally have to hate the gods for some reason, be ignorant to their existance, or feel it to be mainstream. Or something along those lines.

I think posting on a character approval page simply to grade Phry's post, without giving your opinion on the character itself earns you an F- Mack.
But it's his job.
Also I don't realy see anything wrong with this so Go for it

haha oh wow
Yeah this isn't too bad at all. I'm indifferent on the sword skill- I suppose anyone's got to have a strength and why wouldn't a warrior be good with the sword?
