What is OldenRP?OldenRP is based in fictional fantasy times with no certainty as to what year or timeline. In this sense, we can conclude that anything is possible, in a sense... but we usually remain oriented in the fantasy/medieval era for the most part. OldenRP provides unique experiences for any character pursuing a life in Oldenland. Riches are scattered across Oldenland, and all different creatures stalk the lands. The roleplay is endless, and the possibilities unlimited.
What is Oldenland?Oldenland is the land that OldenRP is based in. You are allowed to move along the realms in Oldenland. The main continent, where all the characters you play reside for the most part is called Talibar. The strongest continent in Oldenland. Its capital is Imperia, which.
CharactersYour characters have a free choice of what you want them to be, but you have to
Apply for spells, abilities, and weapons... this goes for being a creature as well. Remember, if you create a character with magical abilities, and you don't apply, you will be Perma Killed (PK'd).
Your character may chose to live the normal life of a
Commoner, which is a "loner" type in Oldenland. They won't join any Factions or Groups. Instead, they may pursue any type of power: From enchantments, to weapons of great power, which Factions/Groups sometimes restrict either type.
All characters start out with some skill, or skills, that leads them through their life in Oldenland. How you came to be on Oldenland, is up to you. What you choose to do with your life is also entirely your choice.
There are a wide array of Races that your character can play as. Each race has its own unique traits and are generally fun to roleplay if you enjoy a variety.
RacesThe SystemUpon acquiring an item you may sell it, or keep it for your own uses. Some items have magical abilities, or maybe they can be worn as equipment that advance your characters skills or defensive abilities. Some items are artifacts that were left in an ancient site for a very very long time. Your characters are free to hunt for the hundreds of artifacts, to try and put together many plots!
OldenRP is also purely democratic. The community and its players always have a say in everything, and have rights to a lot, ALTHOUGH, the administrators can change their rights or privileges. We are not communistic, in this sense; Players, too, can affect the outcome of decisions, but in the end the Admins have the final say, but will listen to what the members have to say.
News and Events are globally influential actions that affect every character for good or bad. They may be on-server, or posted on the forums. You are always welcome to participate in these events, although, it is not the smartest thing to do if it is combat oriented and you are unarmed, or unable to fight.
OldenRP runs in Real-Time. That means that the amount of time that passes In Real Life (IRL) is directly proportional to the amount of time that passes In Character (IC) or In the Game (IG).
Factions and GroupsThere are multiple factions that are open for your character to join. Each one likely recruits differently. You can view the various playable factions in OldenRP
