He had teachers before, but most (if not all) are dead, he learns usually on his own now, and is making good progress considering this, most of his time now devoted to this art.

3/10 Shadow Magic l John studied shadow magic, and worshiped Shar for a while, after discovering that Shar was responsible for the destruction of Imperia, he stopped, he still has the knowledge, but neither the access to the shadow weave, or willingness to use it.

Biography

John Udgrad was born in a small, unnoticeable town 8 miles south of Surna, and from an early age was taught, along with his two older brothers to be alchemists, and magic-users. While John was never particularly skilled at anything, he always tried his best, and was tenacious enough to become great at anything he wanted to do, given enough time. So, since an early age, his parents taught him the skills that would get him through the rest of his life. These would be Swordsmanship, Alchemy, fire magic and energy manipulation.

These were all things required of members of his family. For instance, while John was never a good swordsman, he needed to practice it, in case he might ever need it. Alchemy was also never Udgrad's forte, but he practiced it continually none the less. He was much better at fire magic, and practiced it constantly, learning how to manipulate already existing fire, and even conjure his own. Even though he knew these things, Udgrad always wanted to learn more, and be better at the things he already knew.

After becoming 18, he left home, and attempted to settle in another small village, renting a room in the nearby tavern, and using his skills to pay for living expenses. While in this town, Udgrad heard about the art of necromancer y, talked about in whispers. And, after hearing of it's power, he wished to learn about its power, so, after a few underground dealings, he managed to obtain a book that detailed it's arts to a point where, after thorough study, Udgrad managed to raise small animals from the dead. While this was a big accomplishment in his eyes, he knew he would need more knowledge and practice to accomplish more. However, there was not much of a need for Magic-users and alchemists in such a small town, so he decided to move on to someplace bigger. Surna definitely fit the bill, and seemed like it might make a good place to live, and improve his skills.

Just how did he pick up necromancy? It's outlawed, and it's not something you just go "OH HEY, A DEAD BIRD! *FFSSHHNN* OH LOOK, I BROUGHT IT BACK TO LIFE! I NEED TO PRACTICE THIS MORE!"

And maybe lower his fire skill to something like, 5 or 6, since he has like alot of other skills at 4?

Moved Fire-Magic down to 6, put the parts about necromancery in more detail, which I should have done originally.

I'm not so sure about the sudden amount of fire magi recently, it's becoming unoriginal, though it's of course not much of a problem. I'd like to hear the community's opinion about this.

I am willing to change to another type, if it comes to that.

Katanas are useless. A normal one-handed militia sword could cut that thing in half. Katanas are made to be light-weight weapons that cut through cloth and fight against other katanas.

If you meet an actual knight in proper armor, he'd pretty much lop your head off in a second.

And don't go "WELL I HAVE NINJA REFLEXES" because that doesn't matter. He'd grab you by the throat and laugh at you.
