Earlier today, the Guard Captain, Eleanor Duvedirfel, was found in her inn room, unconscious. She was brutally attacked by an unknown assailant. Currently, she is in a coma in the Guard Infirmary. The Guard has not released any further information on this subject, and it is unknown whether or not the Captain will make a recovery.
This is the latest in a series of attacks on the men and women of the Guard. Heavy casualties have been taken in defense of Surna, leaving their ranks dangerously thin. Forest patrols have been withdrawn, and very few guards roam the streets. This has caused a bad surge in crime, as desperate citizens steal just to get basic necessities. | |
