Regular Mini-Event Suggestion Thread

So one of the sugggestions out of my 'What Is To Be Done' thesis (it's a thesis no shut up mack it is shut up) was to increase mini-events.

So.

Let's begin, so far I have:


Exotic trade sets up in Ara'ki for a day or two:

[Field of the trader down to your discretion, armour, weapons, exotic lubes-wat
The length of stay is also down to your discretion, it could be an hour, it could be a week]

A hunting expedition:

[Again, very much to your imagination. It could be a single dangerous animal
- or a population that needs to be culled. Mix and match it ]

Weather events:

[Unsure if Talibar climate brings around any extreme weather events but we should decide
on atleast one to whip out every so often just to liven server RP up]

Gnome collective causing nuisances:

They generally cause wide-spread petty crimes, to the amusement or annoyance of those on the server. All may use this mini-event, just be sure to RP the gnomes as angry-at-everything and slightly unsure of why they're angry.

Critter interventions:
A favourite of mine is having a cat chase a mouse right across the middle of an RP scene, perhaps interact with some of the characters. Up to discretion.


If you have any more suggestions or critiques to the current mini-events post beloww.

might want to change "surna" to "ara'ki" because the siege is this weekend

Sure, why not. Exploration could be a decent theme too and maybe some small attacks on the settlement(s) by hostile inhabitants of the island.

critter interventions are just annoying and useless. all they would do is interrupt conversations and roleplay and piss everyone off both OOCly and ICly, which is a big no-no.

These are only supposed to be used to enhance or create RP. If there's already RP going on, then obviously there's no need for a mini-event.
