Rigel is tall and thin, with laugh lines softly made into his face, and broad shoulders. His jaw is square, generally faint with dark stubble. His ears are pointed upwards and thin, with a long, bushy tail. Rigels eyes are round and amber colored, standing out against his skin. His hair is shoulder length and mangled, generally flying around in all directions in a mess.

Ridel was born in Sida, then left by his parents in a canis tribe near the desert. Despite being the 'outcast' of the tribe, both for his weakness and being an orphan, he was still accepted, and learned Animali quickly. In his younger age, he made friends with one of the female canis, Lytfa. They grew up together for years, both of them depending on eachother, until Ridel confessed feelings other than friendship for her. Lytfa told him she could not accept him until he accepted himself--giving him a ring (to both of them, a token of human affection) to promise that she would wait until he did. He then left the tribe.
Ridel was extremely unfamiliar with the 'civilized' world, but he was more comfortable than he had ever been in the tribe. He quickly adapted by copying what he saw people do, and slowly began to learn common from the body language of the people he saw. He played as a beggar for a while, before he figured out enough of the language to figure out the importance of money and do jobs for people. When he figured out the importance of last names, too, he gave himself one.
Despite all of his progress, Ridel became disappointed with how long it had already been, and worked harder, aiming to return to Lytfa--but not yet knowing the other forms of common, like literature and poetry. Ridel still pushed, and is pushing, himself to learn all he can about Common, and typical 'civilized' culture.

I don't get all the random hate and denies, so I assume Canises are the new half-elves of Olden.

I don't see anything wrong with the actual character though so I don't see why it shouldn't be accepted.

Everyone is hating on Canises, even though there are only three of them OOCly, Me (Too damn lazy to make a character app, expect it near-ready by tomorrow.), PuPet, and the creator of the race. As soon as someone makes one they're all like " AUHEVBEBO FURRY PORN FAN IKVDIKDRVDRVBRD" Sometimes, I wonder why people can't be fucking civilized.

I was talking about every Canis character that exists, not just the ones that were on the server at the time. I might be wrong but I only know of 3.

I'm the only Kazuth besides Smiffy's character (who doesn't have a character page) and it's already a well known fact that I don't cyber or conduct Martyn as a 'furry' character.

However, openly labelling yourself as either a german shepherd or a golden retriever is odd and otherwise off putting. And if you want to know why the Canis are disliked, it's because if you've taken the time to read their lore they are in fact, as people have said before, sensationalized cyberbait.

and thats my fucking problem? i didnt make the goddamn page, and in the one instance i looked at it, i was skimming for important shit that would somehow effect my character
they were made to be like kazuths, but dogs, so its likely whatever the fuck is going on with them is what was going on with the kazuths at the time the page was made
and anyways, kazuths have always been fucking cyberbait, so who gives a shit

and, im describing the dog traits my character has because i was in a hurry and not trying to write eighteen paragraphs describing the fucking shape and furriness of his goddamn ears and tail because it'd be pointless, and if theres something a person can just google and go 'oh i see, so thats what it is' then fucking use it

honestly, i don't really care. i'm not a fan of furry characters, but i see no reason why one should deny a character because they have dog parts if one will accept a character with cat parts. while i know OA to be a shameless pervent, i've never seen her do anything strange and disgusting with her characters, beyond being a creep, of course.
