* What the applicating items or equipment can do(IN DETAIL.)
Stephen Kisaki was born and raised in Forlorn Harbor surrounded by enemies.
Once upon a time he had a repeater crossbow. But it was lost when he accidentally left it in the guardhouse one time as he was heading out to explore and find a more relaxed environment.
The crossbow itself before adaption:
The repeater crossbow is a heavy crossbow, costing about 450 gold at a trade. The customization of the crossbow of course made it cost quite a lot more.
Engineering upgrades:
The expensive upgrade updated the holder, making the crossbow able to carry 10 bolts at once. It also came with a scope that could be attached to the crossbow. This scope cost 1500 gold, and was hand-made by a gnome engineer for Stephen. The gnome engineer also reinforced the crossbow and made it less likely to melt or freeze over in extreme temperatures. The scope of course grants the crossbow wielder the ability to zoom in for better accuracy when firing the crossbow.
Besides the scope, the crossbow also comes with a leather belt, specially formed for carrying extra bolts, the scope, and the crossbow. The belt also makes the crossbow easier to carry.
1 Enchantment Upgrade:
The crossbow is also enchanted, making it alot lighter. And therefore it makes Stephen more mobile. But it did not reduce the recoil, meaning that he still needs to keep it still in order to fire accurately.
History:
Stephen first had the crossbow at age 16. He had it with him for a whole year while in Forlorn Harbour. And that's not counting the year he had it while travelling to Surna, or the two years it took to make it.
In total, the preciseness of the engineering and elven enchantments costed him 15,000 gold. Gold which he amounted by doing missions and quests in Forlorn Harbour. He even took to begging to gather the last 1,000 gold.
Lists of missions specifically required to do with huge money:
Kill the gnoll warlord:
With so much gnolls around, it's a certainy that there is a warlord around. Stephen gathered up 8 other guardsmen and set out through a secret passage in the eastern wall, heading towards the horribly built gnoll-fortress.
The fortress was filled with hundreds of gnolls. The party of eight quickly devised a plan to take out as many gnolls as they could. While 7 of the members distracted the hordes of gnolls, one of the members, an ex-assassin, snuck away to kill the warlord. He later returned with the warlord's head.
The gold reward amounted to 9,000 Gold.
But unfortunately, since they were so many, they had to split the gold 1,000 each.
Later they recieved another task from their commander.
(Actually important - this will show the cons to the scope.)
Escort survivors from the nearby farm.
This mission was simple. Since the farm was nearby, only Stephen had to go. He quickly set out through the southern wall, through another hidden passage. Now holding the crossbow. Although without the engineering upgrades. As Stephen made his way towards the farm, he was suddenly ambushed by a large demon. The brutal fight went on for a long time, and left Stephen severely wounded. But yet he managed to kill the demon. The demon, seeking revenge, set itself in Stephen's crossbow.
And thus, it was cursed.
Information on curse:
The demon is very boring to talk to. Let alone only those who come in contact with the crossbow can hear his voice.
The demon will try everything to distract Stephen.
Seeing how Stephen is so dumb, he will easily fall for the demon's tricks.
It also makes him look like a vampire. His yellow eyes shifting to red.
The curse in serious times:
Should the wielder be killed, he stands no chance of revival. The demon will personally take his soul and rip it apart, killing him for ever and ever.
The wielder's wounds will not heal quite as fast, and any healing process will cause him physical pain until it is fully healed.
PROS:
Shoots fast up to 10 Bolts.
Light Weight.
Easy to run with.
Good Aim
Hard to Break at all
CONS:
The Curse explained upwards.
Must stand at position to fire due to recoil.
Could Jam.
Hard reload / Slow
