[OOC] A Sewonian news broadcast
Good evening and welcome to tonights broadcast of Empire News.
The Sewonian Empire have today announced that they have begun construction of a trade vessel that will ship goods to and from the United Species Trading Platform that we reported about previously.
The Imperial engineers aim to make it completely self-relient and unmanned. They will be sending ships to calculate the best and least dangerous route, as the Empire would like to avoid having to escort the trade ship and instead make it entirely reliant on its automatic defense systems, should any hostile ships attempt to steal or sabotage the cargo.
"This is a great step for the Empire, and we are spending alot of resources on this new trade ship. We hope that the trade we will be able to conduct with other races will make it more than worth it." The Emperor said.
"We are also dispatching a civilian vessel with an ambassador that will set up in the Galactic Congress. We expect him to be there within a short period of time."
In other news, another core failure at nuclear reactor plant I-2 today was prevented by the team of highly-skilled engineers. Even though there has been 3 failures in a short period of time, the chief Engineer said there is no cause for alarm. He also had this to say.
"We will be investigating what is causing these failures, and core 8 will not power up until it is fully functional and stable again. This will of course not affect anyone's power supply, but we always want to make sure all our cores are fully functional."
