The following changes are put into effect:
1. Sentries will roam the forests a short distance from town. They will never travel alone, nor will they ever be too far from another group. Should they see anything unusual, it will be reported immediately. 2. A request has been made to equip all guardsmen with silver weapons ideal for combating magical creatures. 3. Lt. Ventulus herself will head up a training program to teach guards what she knows about combating enemy magic-users. This training will also include marksmanship and sword use. This is an optional program for any guards wishing to better their skills. 4. The keep and Surna's walls will be patrolled around the clock and vigilantly. The lack of guards at the moment has made a town militia necessary. A request has been made to form such a militia. 5. A request has been made for the Guard to have better training regimens overall.
OOC Changes:
People are allowed on the premises of the Keep, but not in restricted areas, and if you're dumb enough to commit a crime, on Guard property no less, prepare to face consequences. Even if no one's characters are present, guards are there ICly and will apprehend you. If necessary, they will attack you. Guards are also going to get a lot tougher, not just Mooks you can kill with a wave of your hand.
The guard barracks, and, well, just about any guard facility; baths, mess hall, etc. are all off limits unless you have a guard escort. You also need a guard escort for dungeon visits, which has always been the rule. The armory, the treasury, and the supply room is off-limits to civilians, period. Cell blocks are patrolled by two to three guards, and particularly notorious criminals will also have their cells guarded personally by at least one guard.
Remember all of this when you are Role-Playing in the Keep. Post your thoughts.

| Wade will be able to take care of #2 and 3. Silver short-swords (and silver crossbow bolts to guards who gain the personal authorization from the commander,) will be provided for guards, and training weaponry will be crafted for non-lethal sparring and exercises, and the expenses will be deducted from the guard budget directly. | |

| Well, one thing I'm not sure about is limiting people from the Keep, especially if we do lakeland since the castle is half the map. But people can't just like walk in and be like "Lol I snuck in to steal uber leet stuff" or "I killed the gate guards". But I think people could be allowed in if they want to use the facilities (sauna) or have business with the guard/governor. | |

| How about this, then. People are allowed on the premises, but not in restricted areas, and if they're dumb enough to commit a crime on Guard property no less, they will be apprehended and/or seriously injured. | |

You also need at least one for dungeon visits, as is the current protocol. Cell blocks are patrolled by two to three guards, and particularly notorious criminals will have their cells guarded personally by a guard.

| Can't stress this enough. The guards are damn good at what they do, they will fuck you up. There is no just "I killed the guards at location X, that's how I got here." People doing that really brings my piss to a boil. | |

| Zack, although just a guardsmen, would be able to conduct additional staff and crossbow training for those interested. He could also provide useful teachings into Werewolves/Vampires and the likes. | |

| But alas it'll never be as badass from the days of Donixs and Steven...back when the guard were feared and regulations were just laughed at. May of been corrupted...unorthodox and added to Surna's reputation of one huge brawl waiting to happen but damn were those good times. | |
