Surprisingly for all the years, they went unnoticed. It was not untill Kale's 12th birthday which was soon here, did things change... - Spoiler:
Age 12 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Kale! Go to the Pond and get a Jar of water for the trip! The clan is moving out by nightfall!" boomed his father packing the rest of the West family belongings into the caravan. Young Kale, obidentent to his father grabbed a clay jar and lugged it off to the pond roughly a mile away from the caravan. Kale was a smart kid, knew not to attract attention from strangers, was taught to keeping unneeded attention away, but noone is born perfect. Kale was at times reckless, and this day would prove to be his worst.
Avoiding the main path, he kept the relatively large Jar held with two hands, dragging it across the sand at times when he got tired, Over and Over the dunes he went untill he came across the last hill slumping down and leaning against the pot catching his breath. After this breif wait he continued to tread up the hill which should have revealed the Oasis...
"So we have a deal then?" Said the Master Slaver to one of his best buyers, enjoying this conversation over freshly collected water.
"60 Gold a peice, thats what the contract says and so it shall be" said the buyer taking his time he dabbed the quill into the ink container and back to the paper signing his signature on the sheet of parchment. Just as the buyer lifted off the quill a guardsmen ran into the tent and salutes, assuming a solider like stance.
"Sir! We have spotted a stray Kazuth, a young one" reported the guardsmen. "Should we capture him?"
The Slave Master, stands up making the chair slide back, "No, let'em run. He will lead us to more. Gather the raiding party, we shall go pick out some more product for our friend here" motioning to the buyer who just signed the contract.
Kale was running back to the caravan, foolishly he followed the path he had made by dragging the Jar through the sand. A reckless move on his part, he sprinted offwards on all fours, not hearing the sound of horse mounted slavers following at the back.
His father had just helped finish making final preperations when he was knocked to the ground, pounced by Kale. "Father! We must leave soon, Strangers with cages by the pond!" Kale informed him with a shaking voice. The adult Kazuth stood up and jogged up to the top of the nearest hill, which to his suprise he saw roughly 30 mounted troops approaching fast...
"Arm yourselves!" Yelled the Kazuth, drawing his Claymore from his back holster. The odds were against them, Only 10 of them acctually had the ability to fight. The rest Women, children or unarmed males. The Slaver Calvary broke over the hill to be embraced by what would have been considered by a trained solder, "Futile Resistance" the Kazuth defence quickly broken and left shattered. Only roughly 3 remained armed and standing. The rest was... well "easy picking".
As the blanket of night fell, so did the surviors fall. Into the slaver cages, and some into the ditch. Kale was the only survivor of his family... No Father, No Mother, Not even little sister remained. It was his birthday, he was now 13.
Age 13----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Traveling by cage through many differnt landscapes he ended up being proped up on a stage in the Sida desert, a model for an auction. Auction after Auction, final being sold to a plantation owner, a plantation found not far of Surna.
Age 14 - 18 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Plantation - Year 1-2) Shortly after arriving at the plantation, Kale was forced into working the fields. The first couple of days like for any new comer were the hardest. No friends, and no rest. Working 14 hours, awake from 6:00AM working untill 8:00PM and going back into the tight quarters of the slave barracks when work was done. Beat and whiped when not working according to the masters excpetations. Even on his best days they managed to find reasons to whip him.
(Plantation - Year 3) Losing his mind slowly, being treated like an animal. Working, then back to the barracks was his whole life. He needed to find a reason to continue living at this rate. He needed a friend.
"Whats your name?" a friendly voice appeared from the dimly lit room.
"Who wants to know?" responded Kale.
"Leo wants to know" said a blonde colored Kazuth. "You look sad" he said hovering over Kale.
Pushing himself upward with what little energy he had left. He propped himself up against the wall in order to face the quirky fellow who called himself Leo. "Why do you want to know?"
"You look about my age, and this place can get a little painful without anyone to talk to" responded Leo, whos face seemed to have lost its smile. Most likely to bad memory's of working at the plantation.
"Name's Kale. Nice to meet you Leo"
Age 18 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Plantation - Year 4) The crowded makeshift barn arena was filled with shouts, shouts in such quantity and volume It was hard to hear your own thoughts at times. The plantation owner had opened up a betting arena for himself and some of the locals.
Familiar with "Cock fights"? Well instead of Chickens they used Kazuth.
The objective of the game was obviously to bet on who you thought the winner would be in order to win back your money with a percentage on top of that, but from the percpective of the fighters it was a "Double or Nothing" concept. If the brawler won then he would win his meal for the day with an addition of the loser's meal. And on top of that, they would also win a day off from work.
Today we find Kale thrust forth onto the arena. If he loses this round it would have been his third loss in a row, a third meal in a row.
"Let the fight begin!" announces the plantation owner. The cheering flying up louder then it was before. Kale walks out into the arena, the crys hurting his ears but hes used to it at this point... Looking forward he sees an old time arena favorite Teemo (Tea-Moe)
Kale staggers forward, haunching down to pick up some of the dirt off the ground, he starts to rub his palms with it. Finishing his ritual of preparation he looks up to find a shoulder inches off from his chest. Kale meets shoulder, Shoulder then introduces Kale to Wall which happened to be 5 feet away.
Slamming against the wall, the wind knocked out of him he is having trouble breathing and standing, he manages to clamer against the wall and turn around to meet yet another familiar object. A fist. Smacked down to the ground yet again. Crawling away he grasps at the ground which fill his palms yet again with dirt.
During this time Teemo is circling around the arena for a victory lap, looking back at his victim he runs up and gives a swift kick at his stomach, leaving Kale on his back. But everyone is not born perfect, Teemo may be strong but he is also arrogant.
Teemo goes for yet ANOTHER victory lap, Kale manages to pull himself upwards wobbling side to side. He lurches forward towards Teemo who at this point is laughing. Some might even consider this action "Futile Resistance"
"Laugh on this-" roared Kale throwing a fistful of dirt at the face of arrogance. A couple random swings, easily dodgeable. A fist to the side, dodging the swing... back around... kick to the back, a couple more hits a claw here, there... and Teemo was hugging the ground.
Age 19 (Present) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the fight with Teemo, things seemed to be going uphill for Kale. Winning at a 4:5 (80%) ratio, he had started to stop working out on the fields, A champion of the arena.
One night, after an easy win he was exiting the arena back into formation with the others returning to the barracks, finding himself walking next to the only friend he ever had, Leo.
"How are you holding up?" questioned Kale towards the tired friend. No response, only a quick look over his shoulder, then fear in his eyes and facing forwards once again.
Kale was pulled out by two human farm hands. Shortly after they chain up his leggs and hands dragging him along towards the manor of the plantation...
"Here is he" blurbed one of the fatter farmhands. "Good..." beckoned an unknown voice, a dark figure walked out from behind a bookcase, taking off his cloak and placing it on top of his desk, then taking out a necklace with a key attached, and placing this object on top of the desk as well.
"Why do you fight?" questioned the voice walking closer, a cane in his hand tapping against the floor with every step. "I fight-" silenced through a smack by the cane and shoved forward by the farmhands knocked onto the ground and against the desk. Unable to properly face his agressors due to his bindings. "You fight to win me a profit" filled in the man with the cane.
Kale looks up towards the desk seeing the cloak and key, an easy snatch. But no place to escape, he was in a room with 3 others, bound by chain and on the second story of the manor.
"Now, you must understand slave, you belong to me. So you will fight for me" grumbled the man. "So I want you to lose the next match... I want you to-" A loud crash, the window shattered, along with the bits of falling glass also fell Kale with a cloak and key necklace... Like any good feline, he lands on all fours.
The three look out the window, with a shout "Dont just stand there you dimwits! Get out there and get him!", the two farmhands run off towards the stairs... but it was too late, by the time they got to the scene of the crime all that remained were the chains in the grass and blood stained glass...
Following his nomadic instincts and never staying in one area for too long. Entering into the Surna woods and wandering for a couple weeks until he came across the gleaming city, he slides the stolen cloak over his head to hide his identity he walks towards the city... The City of Surna.

Feral Empowerment Level: ( | | | | | ) AKA: Auto-Activates when he is seriously angry or hurt or when tapping into his feral focus.. still needs practice however! Tapping into his feral rage he is able to increase his speed and strength. Though at the cost of self control and general decision making. His physical form becomes feral as well, fangs extending, eyes becoming more catlike with higher sensitivity for movement and focus. With some practice he may even be able to tame this ability to retain his self control!.. somewhat.
Nature & Healing Spells- Spoiler:
Earthen Bending Level: ( | | | | | ) AKA: Unusable. Kale uses Telekinetic forces to control Earthen Elements (Such as Dirt, Loose Branches, Stone, etc.) to protect himself. Either through coating himself in such material or conjuring walls of the material to deter or block attacks. Entanglement Level: ( | | | | | ) AKA: Unusable. Kale calls upon the roots within the ground (assuming there are roots) to sprout out of the ground within an area. Lower levels the roots will take much time to sprout but once mastered with the spell Kale could make an area overgrown within moments. Life Blood Level: ( | | | | | ) AKA: Can help channel his own energies to help restore plants and life with the assistance of other druids and or nature weavers, has trouble doing much himself. Kale's dedication to seeing through with the regrowth of the forest has given him the ability to enchant his own blood, when in contact with the ground/plant-life dying,growing,or dead to either increase the growth of plant life and or revive the dead plant (depending on its state and his level). Ally of the Forest Level: ( | | | | | ) AKA: Unusable. Kale is able to bend and phase through plant-life, only minor slow shifts at first but once mastered can be used to protect himself, maybe even used as a mode of transport through the forest and earth..
