This config worked flawlessly in my playthrough (as in, not one person died). Not sure if it's guaranteed to work every time, as I haven't replayed ME2. High Paragon/Renegade will allow you to retain loyalties when your squad mates inevitably fight, by persuading them (or yelling at them) to stay focused on the mission.

You should have all other loyalties (other than legions) done before you even go to the reaper IFF.

Wrex. Shepard. In ME2, it's possible to romance Garrus as a man using a mod.

Quarians are based on Gypsies, if I'm not mistaken. And Liz Sroka is Russian.

I usually took Tali and Garrus. Sometimes I made the unfortunate mistake of bringing Grunt. Tali often tells her drone to "Go for the optics!"
