Class 2 Planet : PFX-414 : Outer Rim Space

Icy, and far from its sun it gets limited light and heat. A Konnh probe detected a heat anomaly and sent the coordinates back to command. The planet is so harsh, transports can not get to the surface without being impaled with razor sharp icicles. The best way to get to the heat source is by ATV or walkers.

** On the underside of the planet comes a hyperspace window, something sleek and smaller drifts out and blends in with the natural color against the planet and space in a cloak.

**A T'Ack'Mul transport cruiser with a battle cruiser as an escort enter gravity well space. They turn to the planet and descend into the atmosphere. The transport gets down into the icicles, knocking some of them off, and pulling up a little. It's hangar door opens, and LM-105 tank walkers run out of the hangar, their armored legs crashing through the icicles as they land. In all, 30 tanks jump out from the hangar and land successfully, a few of the tanks' legs are impaled, but they are still operational.

The battle cruiser captain speaks to the tank commander. "Your orders are to seek out the heatsource, release the scientists from the tanks, and defend them. Konnh is sending their own science team, so check your targets. If you find non-Konnh targets, try to contact them. If they do not reply in atleast 3 tries to contact them, you are clear to fire. My cruiser will be in the atmosphere to provide artillery support if it is absolutely needed, the transport must go into orbit."

"Copy that, Captain, we're moving to the heat source now."

The tanks get into formation. The tank commander's tank fires off it's missile barrages, destroying the icicles ahead. The tanks march on through the tundra.

Another hyperspace window opens, and a Yiuh'rash Attack Carrier comes out, which then orbits the planet near the T'Ack'Mul force, a message goes out to both the T'Ack'Mul and Konnh ships.

"This is Captain T'phrash of the Piavenian empire, a small force of ours will be down there soon for scouting purposes, and we will wait by the planet to provide support as needed."

A minute after this message is sent, the Attack Carrier launches three waves of drop pods, from it's boarding-pod launchers, behind the T'Ack'Mul force.

The Anti-Planetary weapons on board the carrier fully power up, ready to blow some shit up.

** Like a mirage, a ship appears in low orbit as scanners would detect it. Six pods are fired from the bottom of the ship about 25km from the heat source. As quickly as it appeared, it disappears in the rolling blizzards.

On the planet, the pods impact and their doors are blown off. Six Gawain soldiers step out, each one with a separate load-out. They hop across the landscape in silvery suits towards the site.

**The LM-105 tanks begin moving at maximum speed, their pulse guns blazing as they cut a swathe through the icicles, bounding through the newly made path, approaching the heat source.

** Three anti tank rockets come from the snow and white cloud ahead at the T'Ack'Mul walkers. From the distance the whistle of inbound mortar shells is heard in a high pitch over the ravaging storm from where the heat signature is.

-Back where the silvery troops are running and jumping across the ice, they hear the mortar and move to track the firing. They have intel where the tank are from their ship scans so they move to aid.

**3 walkers at the front explode, the charging tanks keep on going, scuttling over the blown up tanks and moving forward.

"Engage infrared sights, activate coaxial turrets, calibrate missiles, fire, fire!"

The crab tanks charge through the storm, firing their 88mm rounds into the heat signature, a few of them releasing their missiles in a barrage into the storm randomly.

"Captain, we are engaged with unknown enemy. Presumed Aturor, requesting overwatch support from your cruiser."

"Overwatch support granted, we're locking onto your position. Mark targets when you can, we'll be scanning for other heat sources."

"Confirmed, commander out."

** The Majority of the Piavenian Troops spread out behind the T'Ack'Mul forces and wait, weapons at the ready.

A small force of 20 scouts has moved to a high ground location on a hill of ice nearby, and has set up several of their APLLR sniper rifles, along with a target pointer for the weapons on the ship above, they all aim into the cloud, calibrate their rifles for the range, and wait for something to shoot.

Yet another hyperspace window opens, and a large ship exits out of it.
As the ship realises there are others around here, it opens up communications.
Without a single word of communication, three troop transport vehicles exit a hangar.

As they make their way down, the transports begin getting pelted by ice shards, and encrypted radio communication buzzes up. The transports attempt to pull up, but in vain. All three of them lose power as several ice shards penetrate and jam their engines. As they begin to plummet for the ground, radio communications intensify for a second, and then go completely silent as all three hit the ground, roughly a kilometer behind T'Ack'Mul and Piavenian forces.
For a minute everything is silent, before two squads of men emerge, and the radio buzzes up.

At first it's slightly covered up by static, slowly coming becoming 100 % clear.
"Captain Krelt here. We took some damage on the way in and we lost one of our squads, but other than that we're ready and able. We'll provide infantry support for T'Ack'Mul forces. ETA 10 minutes."

As the radio cuts out, the men quickly gather up their equipment and get moving.

Silently, a sleek and soundless Dreluftanije-class battleship falls out of rift-space and comes to a halt. The cyan glow and low hum from the engines dies down to nothing as they enter a sort of standby mode.

On board, the captain keeps the crew, and the way they run the ship, as silent as possible. They sit back, behind every other ship and simply observe.

** The LNA-11 fleet cruiser descends into the storm, it's transparent light blue shields going up. It stays on the left side of the charging T'Ack'Mul tanks, elevated about 200 meters, it's pulse cannons start swiveling around. Large green pulse discharges cut through the storm, firing on heat sources ahead of the charging tanks.

"Overwatch support achieved, remaining danger-close, watch your targets."

** Mortar rounds impact around the tanks as a few more rockets come in, the mortar shells cease firing when there is the echo of a heavy weapon firing and multiple shots ring out.

The Konnh squad looks through a telescopic sight onto a circular building low to the ground from the mortar position. The ground seems clear around the base but there are large ice crevasses that could impede vehicles getting close.

A message is relayed out to the ships from an unknown position aswell.

"Aturor Redesigned present, watch the close quarters."

***The Sewonian troops continue moving, as they get closer to T'Ack'Mul and other forces, their radio cuts back in and transmits to all.

For a moment the radio is just random chatter as the men move over the destroyed T'Ack'Mul vehicles, quickly going into a sprint.

"Double time! Double time!"
"Check the right, check the right!"
"Got it. Clear, clear. 0 targets."
"Got a visual on the T'acks. Several friendlies."
"That's a copy.
"Attention all friendly forces. Sewonian ground support be there in 3 minutes."
"Captain, check the left. Possible visual."
"Roger. Cover left. Fire on visual."
"Solid copy. Covering."

**The T'Ack'Mul cruiser sways to the left.

"Heavy artillery rounds discharging, moving into position over attack group, diverting power to shields."

The cruiser's shadow falls over the tank group, as it flies just above them, their shields begin humming loudly as they are intensified.

"Make contact with Hunter-Group 1, we're have confirmed Aturor contact, requesting Hunter-1 group prep for wormhole entrance to PFX-414."

** The captain of the Piavenian ship smiles, watching down on the planet below, he walks over to a nearby communications console, holds down a button and says "Fire the ship's artillery, watch the aliens' rear, and engage any targets in sight with sniper fire."

5 of the 10 planetary cannons on the ship fire large explosive rounds down at what is estimated by the spotters to be the back of the cloud, were the aturor fire is coming from.

** The orbital bombardments decimate the assumed positions in a hail of fury. The fire from the positions stop as the cloud clears and there is scattered pieces of Aturor seem to fade out in a slight green light as if dematerialize.

Beyond the fire zone is a small ridge, the signature beyond it. The Konnh squad aims a phase rifle to the sky and discharges the rifle, a special signature round flying up into the sky and hovering. One member of the squad takes a large particle cannon from his back and aims it at the structure's outer personnel door. It charges quickly and fires, a streak of yellow flies from the gun an impacts the door like Thermite and it begins to melt. They quickly slide down the mortar position and run towards the door.

** Three UIS-5 gunships descend through the atmosphere, their curved plating and heavy armor deflecting any ice shards or other risks of the elements in the sky. Two of them land beside the door, as the Konnh squad is going towards it. One hovers nearby to cover the other two.

Assuming nothing attacks the transports, several squads of Piavenians get out.

After the troops get off, the gunships fly back into the air, and begin flying around the surrounding ice, looking for targets.

"Negative on artillery strike, pulling up."

The cruiser pulls up above the tanks, ascending higher up into the atmosphere. The tanks scuttle up to the bunker's entrance. The backdoors of the tanks open, water spills out on the ground and freezes almost instantly. 20 and 40 scientists with deep space suits get out of the tanks, most of the soldiers armed with pulse weapons, a few with flamethrowers. The tank's hatches close and they spread out around the area of the bunker, the metal clanking of their legs echoing away.

The scientists hold many hand held consoles and sensor equipment, looking around and pointing their sensors this way and that. Two soldiers set down a metal crate, pressing a code lock with T'Ack'Mul scripture on it. The crate slides open, 4 hovering LM-7's fly out and begin to circle around the marines, swiveling their detection sensors around. The marines and scientists wait at the door for the other forces to regroup.

** The Konnh squad throw a sphere like grenade into the melted doorway, a bright light illuminates the passage and is followed by a shock wave. A squad member with a heavy repeater phase weapon steps in as a riflemen and the members of the squad shuffle in. They follow the corridor downward, the explosion showing residue of blood that destroyed sentries that already dematerialized.

At the end is an elevator, the Konnh squad stops and motions for the other teams to halt the approach. The squad leader's helmet separates and folds backwards.

"Five levels, we'll split up. Watch your spacing when the elevator doors open to the floor. Something in here is preventing a layout scan so something valuable is here. They'll try and stop our movements with anything, don't forget the Aturor Beserkers in these tight spaces. Take them down quickly by aiming for their heads. We'll go first, form up on me and activate your phase device.

We're taking floor one."

The squad enters the elevator, and the door seals. As is descends slightly the squad seems to vanish in a flicker of light to the first floor.

** Four of the Piavenian warriors go with the Konnh squad, all of the other Piavenian troops wait at the elevator, waiting for it to come back.

**2 large metal black spheres plummet from the snow storm, crashing 100 meters from the bunker entrance. 4 legs pop out, 2 pulse machine guns, and a oblong head with 4 red eyes. It begins to scuttle across the ice, breaking through it. It stops in front of the T'Ack'Mul marines, and they advance inward. The two heavy LGR-77 drones and marines first with the armed LM-7 probes, and a small section of the scientists with the scientific LM-7 probes.

The T'Ack'Mul marines step through the hole in the bunker door, the large drone's heavy legs clanking against the metal loudly. Large floodlights pop out from the side of their bodies and illuminate the hallway in front of them. The LM-7s turn on their inferior searchlights, babbling in their deep metallic voices as they swirl around the group and scan.

** The Konnh squad goes down the elevator cloaks engaged with the four warriors. The lift goes down fifty meters before coming to a steady halt in a cyan like light colored hallway seen through the elevator's tiny window. The door opens as the Konnh squad bolt to the sides of the elevator as a hail of pulse fire comes from Aturor soldiers at the visible warriors.

One the surface the heat signature seems to increase slightly as a small tremor goes through the ice.

**The Pulse rounds impact the armor of the warriors, burning through small parts of it, the Piavenians inside quickly level their weapons and open fire, one of them throws a bundle of grenades, the pins all out.
