Yes, enchantments too. - Recently he has been able to store the created magic, and release it like you would a spell by manipulation.
Biography:
[IC] Not much is known about this docile, daydreaming bartender. He staffs the bar, runs it, and very often disappears without explanation.
[OOC] Born to a Talibarian father and an Occitanian mother, Jens found himself born into a seemingly loving family until stress tore the couple apart slowly. At age ten, his father, a mage, was the inspiration for Jens' yearning to become a mage also. However, it was proved that he could not succeed in using even the simplest spells. A disappointment, Jens decided to simply ignore his dreams. But three years later, his dreams would come true in a twisted way. When his mother left suddenly in the night, his enraged father turned on him with magic, blinded by his own anger. Jens struggled to run, but he was cornered, eventually discovering his ability when he somehow turned his father's magic around and killed him.
The storm subsided, indicated by the sudden halt in the downpour. Dark clouds loomed overhead, with a chilled breeze still shaking the forest, but this was the time to move. Wearing his mother's tattered blue cloak, a single child crawled out from under a log and stood up on the soaked earth. Oddly enough, the water seeping into his worn boots helped cool the blisters caused by the friction of constant walking. The child found the cobbled path through the forest and hurried on, his makeshift hood barely keeping the cold out. His basic linens were drenched, weighing him down and tiring him. He had to continue... He couldn't go back. The weight proved to be too much, and he doubled over to catch his breath, hands on his knees. Closing his eyes, the child quickly regained lost fatigue, opening his eyes to the grey world he was fighting for survival in. He looked up, jumping back almost instantly.
"What's the matter, boy?" came the voice. It was loud, clear and official. "Where are your parents?". The child looked up, straightening instinctively at the sight of the mark on his armor. He didn't reply, warranting the armoured knight to walk a little closer. Behind him, there were three others on black stallions, holding the spare horse that their leader had dismounted. Finally, the knight pointed with his gauntlet. "What is your name, child?"
"J...Jens, sir." The boy finally managed to get his words out, his hair still wet and uncomfortably flattened on his head. "Jens Eytinge."
"Jens..." The knight repeated, smiled, and then viciously backhanded him across the face. Jens fell to the mud, crying out as he felt his mouth bleeding. "Maybe now you will answer me when I ask a question!" The rain started again, masking the sound of the knight's metallic footsteps as he strode over and picked Jens off the floor with ease. The thirteen year old protested, kicking out with anger and screaming. The three mounted knights briefly laughed, watching their leader hold the panicking boy.
"Let me go!" Jens yelled, spitting each word in harsh Occitanian. The knight simply laughed and ripped the cloak from him, taking it and throwing it in the mud.
"Filthy clothes. That is no way for an Occitanian to present himself, even if he is a little bastard like you."
Jens balled his hands into fists, and cried out a little as he was dropped back into the mud. More laughter. He wouldn't let this tall bully push him around, jumping up and rushing at the knight. With unknown force, Jens shouted and thrust his fist forwards, paying no mind to the armor.
BANG.
The knight flew backwards, propelled by a bright light where Jens had been standing. He landed in the middle of his mounted companions and quickly sat up, eyeing the deep dent in his chest piece. His eyes met those of an enraged 13-year old, who's fists were illuminated with his father's magic.
"Wh- What are you? Some kind of -monster-?"
Jens spoke no words, let the magic run from his fingers and set off running. The knights didn't follow, pre-occupied with helping their leader. From the treeline, one individual had watched the whole incident, and followed the running boy with a sharp-witted smirk.
Ever since, he ran from his Occitanian home, eventually recieving help from a tiefling to board a trader's caravan heading to Talibar. They said there he would find a calm life. Calm was all Jens wanted. Away from the anger that had destroyed his family... But then again, anger would prove to be his only strength.
His sister, who had left with her mother, and Jens were never re-united - until on the trail up to Leyanara.
He quickly became somewhat bored, and started his own plans - landing him in monumental amounts of trouble. This trouble eventually landed on his sister Karen, who had to disappear- and has not come back since her time spent with an unknown vampire thought to be the infamous Marcus.
Jens is an incredibly caring and docile individual, relaxed and laid back in his ways. He is famously understanding and tolerant, often a little too curious and clumsy in his ways. However, he has proved to have a very short fuse if provoked enough. It usually works to his advantage though, as his ability relies somewhat on anger.
Alignment:Chaotic Neutral Favored Enemy: Anyone getting on his nerves. Favored Weapon: His twisted use of magic. Saint: Falk - The Occitanian Saint of Anger, Vindication and Fratricide.
Current Task(s): - Live life the way he wishes - Current "I intend to run this bar for now... What else is there to do? *sigh*"

I do like this character.
Also, the spellplague, ICly, never happened. It happened during a part that has now been retconned. Doesn't mean spellcasters don't have to weave, but magic attacks are of normal strength.
Also, two questions before I accept--
First, if an object that has been directed towards him would still have physical form even if the energy was taken away, such as a boulder manipulated through earth magic, wouldn't the inertia that remains in the boulder still be in effect, flying towards Jens?
And second, if Jens does not have first hand experience with a magic, can he manipulate it?

1. Yes. In which case he'd be smacked by a boulder. Unless it still had a lot of magic in it.
2. Great question. Glad you asked. Not well at all. Doing so would warrant the same effects as trying to manipulate a natural energy like fire - it would be uncontrollable or so unstable it would just kill Jens. So no, he doesn't try it.
The only exception to this is when he befriended a necromancer and she let him play with tiny, tiny snippets of magic - To study it, if you will. He never got proficient, neither.

Alrighty. A few more questions I'd like to ask.
First, I assume it'd take a bit of concentration to use the ability? Like, if he were ambushed, how fast could he react to the magical attack?
Second, would it be possible for him to take magic from enchanted items?

If taken completely by surprise, it depends on the type of attack. A minor little bolt for annoyance, he could hastily just move it out of the way. Anything bigger and he'd have no time to grasp hold of it.
Unless it took a while to arrive.

Hmm. Probably would take some considerable effort to even take a miniature portion, and even then he could only take it when the magic was in effect (I imagine like, leech a little off the actual flames).
By no means could he just take the power off an enchanted item. But he could sense the magic, pretty well.
