In midday, a couple was found in distress both suffering from stab wounds, but only the male, who wishes to remain anonymous, survived the ordeal. In tears, the man described the event quick and confusing. Apparently the attacker had left the local inn, irritable and verbally abusive. The attacker bumped in to the couple, and after a short, heated volley of threats, the assailant used a knife of "bright silver" to kill the woman and seriously injure the man. The attacker was described to have red hair, orange eyes, a young face and average height. The man also described the wounds to be more like burns than stab wounds.
