Size: The size category. Each category up is twice the size of the previous one. Small is for creatures 2 to 4 ft. tall. Medium is for creatures from 4 to 8 ft tall. Large is for creature 8 to 16 ft. tall.
Cost: The cost of the item. Monetary values are like so. 1 pp (platinum) = 10 gp (gold) = 100 sp (silver) = 1000 cp (copper).
1 shilling = 1 gp
Damage: How much damage the weapon does.
Weight: Duh.
HP: How much damage it takes to destroy the weapon. The minimum HP an item can have is 1.
Critical: A range depicting which dice rolls may follow in a 'critical' hit, and the damage modifier afterward.
Range/Increment: The effective range of the weapon, and an increment for accuracy. Ever additional increment causes a -1 penalty to attack bonus.
Type: The damage type. Is used to determine how damage reacts to certain forms of protection.
Hardness: Hardness of the item. Used when determining how much damage the item takes, and at what point it starts to suffer damage.
AoO: Stands for Attack of Opportunity, a situation where a melee attacker can freely make a strike at someone who is distracted and cannot pay full attention to their defense.
Standard Actions: A standard action is a task that require's one's focus and can be performed along side a move action.
Move Actions: A move action is an action wherein one moves their body to change their location, or make a large adjustment to himself. Some weapons require move actions to fully reload.
Full-Round Action: An action that requires both focus and movement, or total focus or total movement, eating up one's ability to do anything else in a round.
Free Action: A free action takes a negligible amount of time that does not detract from any other form of action.
Round: A round is the time in which a player's turn takes place. Every round is 6 seconds.
Note: For wheel-lock weapons, add 2 to the number of actions necessary, and 100 to the medium cost to determine all other costs. However, wheel-locks can be fired as free actions (yep) and used in AoO's (double yep). All technologic weapons require the feat "Technologic Weapon Proficiency" for classes not inherently trained or skilled with them. Anyone using the weapon without this proficiency adds multiplies their reload time by 1.5, and rounds up.
MusketTechnologic Two-Handed ProjectileCritical: | 18-20/×3 |
Range/Increment: | 100 ft./20 ft. |
Type: | Piercing |
Hardness: | 5 |
Reload Time: | 7 standard or move actions. |
Special: | Muskets must first be deployed with a standard or move action which provokes AoO. The feat 'Quick Draw' reduces setup time to a free action without AoO, but it's drawn normally. A musket made of Mithril does not need to be deployed by a creature of the same size category. A musket can double in melee as a Greatclub of the same size category. |
