1.) Maybe, as long as he's fair and not OP'd, etc, etc.
2.) If you've got the skill, consider the fact you'll need to make a map as good as our existing one.

4) That would be lore-destroyingly bad.

Well you could always go for the typical village-style map, with some grass, some trees, maybe a path, some cliffs. I dunno; it's up to you what goes into it.
