Arbitrator - Alyssa's Cool Sword

This sword is of a unique design. The hilt is made of a special kind of gem, found in the amulets of Battlemages and the hilts of the Telekinetic Blades. This gem can store vast amounts of magical energy for prolonged periods without it dissipating. The hilt is wrapped in Magite cloth, which serves to amplify magical energy stored inside. The blade of the sword is Orium, which is highly resistant to dark energy. Beneath this is a platinum core, which carries energy from the hilt out through the tip of the blade, without restricting its flow or potency.

The blade also possesses powerful enchantments, negating the need for maintenance. Its blade is sharper than what is possible by conventional means and virtually indestructible, making it capable of incredible feats.

The sword is linked to its user's soul. As long as their soul is present (ie, they're alive and using it) the enchantments will work. Alyssa's soul is magically attuned enough to be able to power the sword fully.
When: ASAP
Where: This sword was crafted in Kerodil by Durender smiths and Sentinels. Its design may one day find a place in the hands of all of Kerodil's knights, but for the moment, it is a prototype. Jacob Aurelius used this sword to fight the Demon that had manifested itself in Ardent Fury, Alyssa's previous sword.
Why: What can I say, I'm a sucker for the Cool Sword. Technically, this sword isn't as powerful as Ardent Wrath was, though it is more powerful than Ardent Fury. My word's all I can give when I say I won't abuse this, you're just gonna have to trust me.

Say, will this affect the overall resistance towards spells or only if you attempt to "parry" a spell with it?

So, will the sword be resistant towards dark energies, magic and such or will it make Alyssa highly resistant towards them? Or how does it work?

HOLD UP. Less than monomolecular means that this sword can cut through anything (almost). It's a cool sword, but I can't accept this.

Reminds me of a Stargate movie.. Where they had a sword that had its blade refined down to an atom. Cut a man from head to toe in one quick movement.

I like, makes it seem less like I had to fight the one bitch-ass Diakun who sold her soul to Cyric then yelled at me for blocking a god blade by hitting the blade on the flat side.

Sounds like a nice sword, doesn't seem too overpowered.

At the start, though, this trope seemed more appropriate.
