WHAT you are applying said character for. : Advancement in the arts of Fire Magic.
What the applicating abilities can do(IN DETAIL.) : Engulf hands in flames. Though it tires him out REALLY quickly. Sustaining it for longer then 6 seconds can lead to passing out.
Where they are going to learn, or have learned said abilities. : John Udgard has been teaching him for a while now. Past an OOC month now.
Why you think you should have these abilities. : Because this charater wants to become a master of magic one day, this being a step towards that.

What uses does it have?

Accept, but I'm curious, do the flames burn his own hands at the same time? I mean, that's typically why you don't engulf yourself in flames, unless you have some kind of affinity of or protection from it, etc etc.

I toss my approval because I know that even 2 seconds of a hand engulfed in flame can turn the tide of battle.

Also, the flexibility of this ability should only be limited by creativity. God knows that Chandra can use incredibly basic fire spells as effectively as a complex one. See - flirting with a guy, then using heattouch, or igniting someone's cape while they're distracted.

The wonderful thing about fire magic is it's so flexible.
