What's that in the skies above Surna and beyond? A small craft with a strange blue bag of gas above it floats gently into view, making a light rumbling sound as a propeller spins on the back. The airship is a new line from the recently discovered Talibaran technology of flight and lighter than air travel. The ship is made from what looks like a heavily modified dingy from a seafaring vessel, Patched up with bits of metal and with wings. Two bags of dirt hang from either side, and overhanging it is a massive balloon of bluish cloth, wrapped in a net of ropes and anchors. The ship is small with barely a room for accommodation, the dingy was small to begin with, and the ship itself can only hold enough supplies to travel about 5 days without landing. A bedroll can be placed under the small modified rowboats seats to sleep, but the ship has a tendency to fall into disrepair after a few hours of use, leaking gas or drifting violently off course in the wind. The craft can lift about 100 pounds of supplies and hold up to two people comfortably. There is no protection from wind or rain on the craft, but what it lacks in comfort it makes up in speed. The ship is remarkably fast on straight trips, the turning of it requires some concentration and swearing by the crew. The ship also is packed with a suitcase containing some extra emergency sheet metal that can be quickly bolted into place to patch holes in the dingy. A few hits to the balloon and it will probably explode. The ship has no weapons, but the two crewmen could probably carry crossbows.


The airboat is the personal creation of Andrel Thandron. While he is a spellcaster, he has a lot of experience in tinkering maintaining the vials of liquid and mechanisms that keep him alive. The ship is in need of constant repair in flight to keep it in the air.


NOTE

OOCly the ship is an advance dup file. It flies with nothing but balloons. The ship is so perfectly balanced that when no steering thrusters are on it, it will float almost perfectly at the same altitude in the air. Thrusters are used for Landing gear, toggled on to provide a constant downward force that sticks the craft in place. Upwards lift is made by a very weak thruster on the underside.

this needs to be accepted. it's so perfectly crafted and just floats through the sky harmlessly. it'd really make for some interesting RP.

Hell yes, we have yet to see anything like this on the actual server, and they already exist in some cases, though they're often much larger and such.

I upgraded it in my friends build server, it now has an "Engine" and pipes going into the balloon
