Class 2 Planet : P3X-Y2K : Sern Sector

***Two of the blasts hit, as the two wounded soldiers fall down towards the ground below, landing with a heavy thud. One of them seems to survive, and quickly grabs for his sidearm, placing it against his head and pulls the trigger without hesitation. Warm blood, flesh, and brains splatter all over the wall next to him.

The other soldiers looking down through the hole quickly back off a bit, only peeking over the edge of the hole slightly, keeping the fire up on the three cyborgs.

One of them yanks a round metal object from his belt and hits button on it as it begins beeping slightly. He holds it for a few seconds before letting out a quick,
"Clear!"

He tosses the metal object down, aiming for the three cyborgs and the consoles. The metal object continues beeping for a few seconds, before going up in a medium-sized explosion.

Sewonian communications light up.

"Captain; we've encountered heavy resistance, and their power is coming back up - if we don't take this ship out soon, the hostiles will fly off with us still in."

"That's a 100. I want you to localize the energy core and disrupt it. Split into two teams. I want one team to hold your current location and the other to find that energy source!"

"100. We're MO."

** Two of the drones are blow against the back wall, parts of they mechanical parts allover. They dissolve in a similar fashion. The third slides across the flooring leg blown off, yet it continues upping his firing rate to compensate for his lost comrades propping itself up on a piece of debris

From the upper walk-way door where the squads are entering, a door opens up. It stops short sparking out, as two hands are seen grabbing the door in the small space left. Suddenly, the jammed doors are forced open as a armored figure breaks part of one down with its shoulder as it grunts. It stands there as a red laser pops up on its eye, a large spear like blade extends from its right arm and charges the soldiers

The outside bay doors close, lights going dark as there is a subspace burst. A similar storm brews over the FIS base as a greenish shield slowly forms over the vessel.

*** The soldiers participating in the fire-fight from atop the walkway stick to cover as the energy bursts graze them. They don't do much more than blindly firing their weapons over the edge.
But one of the soldiers sticks his head out, and a single blast goes straight through his head, and he falls to the floor with a giant hole in his skull.
Another one quickly retaliates by peeking his weapon out over the edge, only to have it drop down as his hand is blown off, and he falls back onto the floor, screaming in agony.
The other soldiers act lightning fast and begin moving the dead body up against the edge of the hole, and roll it over on its side. They then use the body for cover as they lay flat on their stomachs, firing down at the cyborg.
Another soldier moves the wounded one back and begins cutting blood flow to the blown off hand.

*** Back in the corridor, the soldiers getting charged hardly have time to react before four of them are charged right into, sending them flying a few good feet. One of them only gets knocked over and stepped on, as his ribs let out a loud crack, and he begins gasping for air through his mask.

*** One of the soldiers expertly dodge the mechanical beast and drops his weapon. He grabs a knife sheated on his lower back and rush up behind the cyborg, attempting to leap onto it's back and stab it repeteadly in any exposed flesh.

** The large beserker like soldier fighting in the walkway stops as the knife plunges in between two pieces of armor. After a few seconds he lets out a roar as pushes backwards towards the wall with the marine on him. The Aturor ship raises its elevation quickly, staying lower than the ship that disabled them as all of their upper batteries open fires in a large barrage on the ship.

***The soldier clinging on to the back of the berserker gets crushed with a large crumpling sound as his metal armor crumbles up as he hits the wall. The knife plunges in deeper as it gets pushed against the wall, and the soldier drops it and slides to the ground.

Three other soldiers quickly follow the now dead soldier's lead and drop their weapons, grabbing their knifes and rushing the large thing, leaping at it simultaneously, knifes in the air.

Outside, the AURION power up their engines and do whatever they can to avoid any fire. The fighters, having been circling above the Aturor ship quickly take a large amount of casualties as several of the jets are hit and either disintegrate on impact, or go plummeting to the ground.

"This is Grin-12, I'm going down!"
"Red-3, I can't hold her!"
"Blue leader here! Bailing out!"

Communications buzz up with dozens upon dozens of these messages as several fighter pilots try to bail out. Some succeed and slowly glide towards the ground, dangling from their primitive parachutes.
Other pilots aren't as lucky, and end up crashing into the Aturor ship, or simply getting stuck in their fighter as it crashes into the ground.

The ATUROR commander speaks up on all channels;

"I want that ship disabled right now, before it makes off with you! Is that understood Lieutenant?"
The Lieutenant responds, yelling and alarms and other various machinery sounds being heard in the background.
"*DDDSTTTTCCCHH*Yes, Sir!"

The Lieutenant quickly grabs a few men, and pushes them forward as he tries to rush past the hopefully preoccupied raging cyborg, heading to the door it came through.

** The beserker has the soldier still latched onto his back as he swings the bladed arm at the charging enemy as his left arm seems limp. Outside, the firing continues in the short about of time this post represents.

***Two of the charging soldiers get sliced with the blade, one of them splitting in half, his guts splattering all over the wall. The other gets his arm sliced off, and falls to the ground, screaming as he holds the bleeding stump. The third one follows through with the leap, and grabs onto the front of the berserkers shoulder, trying to plunge the combat knife into the neck of the beast.

Outside, fighters are going down all around, mayday messages still echoing over all channels. The AURION maintains silence however. The bays quickly open, and transports flow out, some empty, some filled with medical personell. The transports head for the surface to pick up the stranded pilots.

With shields still maximum-forward, the Qetësi commander thumps a fist against the railing with a sharp scowl. She eyes the activating Aturor ship, barking orders to the crew below around the bridge. The Dreluftanije-class battleship complies, re-opening fire with its readied weaponry. The long-cannons shake the entire ship as round after round is slung from each of the twelve cannons.

"Full fire! I want long-cannons focused on their weaponry. Mark your targets and pray we can get past that shield."

*** The Sewonian fighters, being powered by nuclear reactors, leave after them massive clouds of radiation, as well as irradiating metal and unlucky pilots. Everywhere Sewonian fighters are exploding into a chaotic rain of burning and irradiated metal, flesh, and organs.

All over the ground are radioactive wreckage, with men trying to crawl out of them. As the transports reach the ground, the medical personell quickly jump out, dressed in large anti-radiation suits. The medics start moving around, pulling any alive pilots out of the wreckages, and wrapping them in some sort of foil to shut the radiation in.
The transports begin operating in a very co-ordinated fashion, resembling a conveyor belt. They bring wounded soldiers up to the cruiser and then head back down to pick up more wounded, repeating this until all the wounded are safely on the ship.

One last transports hits the ground, as the others head back up to the ship. Out of the transport steps two men clad in heavy black armour, armed with large rifles attached to some kind of canister on their back.
They move from ship to ship, spraying liquid fire over both bodies and wrecks to incinerate anything still intact in an attempt to prevent anyone from dechipering communications or gain access to mission orders.

Communications buzz up with orders for the remaining fighters to get out of the crossfire, and they begin falling back to the cruiser.

** The Aturor ship has minor shielding up but it holds to the cannon fire as it directs fire to separated and random places allover the vessel to fire at. More and more of the ship powers up, hull shifting slightly. The berserker stops as the knife penetrates an open piece between its armor, slowly coming to a halt of all movement and dissolves away in light. The body holding onto him slumps to the floor in a pool of gore that accumulates.

Up the walkway are rushing thuds of footsteps, more electronic voices that echo and a loud screech over the loud speaker.

Watching the movement of the ship, and the flashes of enemy fire impacting on the forward shields, the Qetësi commander orders the ship to stay put. She maintains the constant barrage, directing the crewmen to fire all twelve cannons at a singular point in the center of the Aturor ship.

"Break through that shield! Maximum efficiency on all fire!"

***The lieutenant and the remaining men quickly move past their wounded brothers, and rush through the door, looking around for any hint of where the power core is.

The AURION opens up communications.

"This is the AURION I. Once those shields are down, aim for anything that might seem like it could allow it to move even a few meters forward. I do not want that thing making off with my men."

*** Up on the walkway, the Sewonian soldiers using one of their dead brothers are still firing upon the wounded cyborg, while the others are either covering the front of the walkway, or the hall behind them.

** The Aturor ship directs half its firing cannons to the Aurion, shields slightly fluctuating as the hull changed drastically. The movement give hint the ship is some sort of natural organism.

On board, there is a rush of redesigned humans on the invading troops. They open fire, dodging left to right. Near the wounded cyborg, a spider like robot with the torso of what looks like a T'Ack'Mul grabs the wounded cyborg, and skitters off with its large clanking metal legs.

*** The AURION responds to the fire by firing off a few dozen homing high-explosive missiles, aimed for random parts of the Aturor ship, in an attempt to strike any weak points in the shield.

*** Inside, the soldiers quickly fall back a bit, taking cover behind the doorway. The men with the body shield quickly prop it up further and slide in behind it for maximum cover.

*** Two men get hit as they attempt to fall back into the hallway. They fall to the ground, one of them dying instantly. The other one is quickly grabbed by the collar by one of his brothers. As he is dragged back into the hallway by his friend, he keeps a firm hold on his rifle, trying his best to fire it accurately with the large burning wound on his chest. The man dragging him also tries to maintain fire, holding his rifle with only one hand.

The Qetësi ship keeps on firing away. On board, weapons systems monitor the firing rate. Each slug is directed to the rear of the ship, all twelve long-cannons focused on the same area. The commander on board shakes her head, in communications with a higher command. The transmissions back and forth leak out a little, detectable on all channels but in native Qetësi.

** The ship powers hyperdrive, coming about giving a last volley on the two ships as the gate opens. It bolts through, leaving the troops inside to a doom in deep space trapped on a ship full of the unknown, loaded with hundreds of humans.

*** The AURION simply maintains radio silence for several minutes, as all remaining fighters and transports move back to the large cruiser casually. After a few minutes have passed, the commander sends out a message to the Qetësi and the FIS, a hint of what is not sadness, but more an angry disappointment in his voice.

"No hostiles in the area. The AURION I will be leaving momentarily."

With the last long-cannon firing, the bridge is left in an eerie silence reflected by the communications channel before the words of the AURION's commander come through. Commander qe-Ithantë leans in solemly to her own communications device, shaking her head subtly to match the woe reflected around the bridge.

"We read you, AURION- The Amalgamation offers its most deeply considered condolences." She pauses for a brief moment, strong emotions showing through from her past mindset. "I speak for the venerable Royal Ambassador qe-Lajmëtar in saying that the Amalgamation is willing to provide further, and greater, support should you need it. Personally, I feel likewise- if not more potently. Safe passing, amëi."

The battleship remains stationary.

***The commander opens into a smirk, and begins chuckling. The chuckle echoes over all channels. The commander once again speaks;

"Their mission was to stop the ship from escaping, and they failed. They failed their mission, and have paid the price. I am just disappointed in them. I thought I had trained real men, not mere children with weaponry.."

*** The commander pauses, then begins speaking again.

"We never retreat. We never give up. If our enemy draws our blood, then we will drown him in it. If our enemy cuts off our arm, we will beat him to death with it. If our enemy kills us, we will come back to haunt him. Retreat is death. By not retreating we will never die.

This enemy has just taken a hundred men from us, and we will take from a thousand. And we will show them that we can make even machines feel pain.

Stand by for jump. Exiting atmosphere. AURION I signing out on the Emperor's behalf."

*** The message ends, and the AURION begins slowly moving back out into space, a few fighters still flying into the hangars while it is moving.

The commander on the FIS base speaks into the intercom. He seems mostly pleased with the outcome. "Perfect, gentlemen. You may leave now."
