| Well, given that Geo lost the script, I decided to recreate it. Here's what I have so far ( 1 hour of work ): http://www.mediafire.com/?znodmmgwmddIt has so far, the following: -Anything related to credits, business and flags disabled. It's now much simpler. -The tacoscript thing showing titles, and name on the bottom left corner. -Title 1 and 2 now work much better, if you exceed the amount of characters for title 1, the rest gets into title 2. You can still set title through rp_title2 in console and !title2 in chat. -Dead ragdolls statue. -Admin commands, goto, bring, observe, local sound effect, global sound effect. It's displayed on rp_admin help. -All the basic shit. So, it has the good stuff from the old script in, and all the other crap we never used removed. Now, I wanna hear recommendations from you people as to make more additions. Remember the following: -Think your stuff through. We don't have an economy, so hunger mod is useless. -As for HUD things, don't go for anything outlandish, there is limits. -Try to be as detailed as possible, and explain why your idea would be a good addition. | |

| Kam, Zaku and I (kind'a manily him.) have come to the conclusion that there is a bug in the script, as it is installed completely correct and there are no addons on the server that would affect it, Please check it out. EDIT: Got someone to test it iN SP, Says it works fine, gonna have to fix it myself . |

| I can guarantee to you there's no errors on the script. I playtested it 6 times
I just got in the server, it seems it is not installed properly, I can tell by the name, and the fact it says that cl_init.lua is not found. | |

| Rossii fucked it up. And then went to bed. Tru's gonna talk to the admins to see if they'll let me in with a temporary login to fix it. |

| I just finished testing the script in Single Player.
It worked.
How about deleting the WHOLE cakescript folder, and installing it correctly? |

| No, listen up. The possible solution, presented by Kam and Krug.
Get rid of ULX, and then run the script. The two have compatability problems. Ie, the script will not run alongside ULX.
We still have the powers implemented in the script, so TRY IT. |

| Actually. I told Tru to install ULX after long hours of trying. He even tried a non-gamemode roleplay addon that didn't work. Then I told him to install ULX so he could admin the server. |

cl_init had nothing to do with anything. cl_ stands for client. Which means player. Not server. |

| Actually, you named the gamemode folder wrong. Hence why it didn't work.

| ANYWAY, on a more interesting issue. I'm meaning to add some features, here's some of them: -Fixes: I'm fixing all current bugs, like paydays still being handed out, changing "!" to "/" for chat commands, expanding help. All that good stuff. - Options tab: Allows you to do clever stuff like changing the color of your name in OOC, or changing your OOC name without changing SF one, limited to once per session. 'Lil useful gadget. -( WIP ) Fighting system: NOTICE, THIS DOES NOT USE SWEPS, OR DAMAGE AT ALL. IT USES ROLEPLAY FOR FIGHTS.
However, here comes the twist. It does not use numbers, at all, or atleast no effective numbers. It's supposed to be a way to determine which character could win against another based on calculations of armor, equipment, buffs and the like. It works as some sort of stats system, and it rates your skills based on that. Like.
Your character's name Strength: Good Speed: Average Defence: Good Agility: Below Average Age: 23 Weight: 150 lb or 60 kg Height: 5'10 or 170 cm Build: Muscular
And you can select someone else's character, and a sheet like that pops up, showing his or her data and, in percentage, your possibilities to win on a fist fight. Of course, this is entirely optional, you don't have to use this to fight, it's a fighting aid as to make things more fair. Consider it a tool. | |
