The Raveners enter the room where Sergeant Lucius and his squad were spotted. There, the squad's Vox transmitters lie, rigged to remain transmitting. The Scout Squad hurries out of the building, trying to remain as quiet as possible, struggling to avoid detection just long enough...

Sergeant Lucius presses the remote in his hand, setting off the demo packs hidden inside the building.

Meanwhile, the second scout squad receives the same warning Lucius did, of the Raveners. The squad begins Vox silence.

** All are killed in the blast as some of the charred bodies are flung from the building out into the back of the battle, the brood lord hiss' as it gives a command...

"Quickly now, the Raveners may yet live!" barks Lucius. The Scouts rush to an adjacent building, hurrying inside it.
"Make sure nothing enters this room." As Lucius pokes his sniper rifle out of a window, the other three Scouts stand guard on all the entrances. They are all armed with unwieldy sniper rifles, however.

Lucius searches for a synapse creature among the massive swarm of Tyranids. After several tense minutes, he spots the Broodlord. The swarm rushing by it, the battle, and the rampaging Carnifex all make it hard to line up a shot.

Lucius fires.

[OOC]: The following was agreed upon by both parties after performing a roll.

The Sniper round miraculously finds its target, piercing the head of the Broodlord. The explosives within the round effectively blast apart its head, brutally ending its life. Without the powerful Synapse creature, the swarm falls into complete chaos, losing all semblance of tactics and reverting to a wild animal state. The Carnifex descends into a berserk rage, killing friend and foe alike in its unstoppable onslaught.

"Emperor be praised. With the death of the Broodlord, the Swarm's progress has undoubtedly been hindered. We shall let the Tyranids waste their lives on the heretics, and dispatch both foes when they are most weak. Come now, brothers." Sergeant Lucius begins the long journey back to HQ, his scouts in tow.

Meanwhile, the other Scouts have not finished their mission. They search incessantly for the nests where the Tyranids spawn, in unending waves, like a factory for the deadly lifeforms.

** As the brood lord lays dead gaunts begin to swarm around the window where the shot came from...a large hulking foot steps onto the body of the brood lord, it restores order in mere minutes except for the Carnifex which is barreling its way threw enemy lines. The figure appears to be the newly arrived Hive Tyrant, it points one of its bone swords at the building the shot came from, it makes a loud hiss as dozens of gaunts genestealers and two Raveners descend upon it.

The plaguemarine missile launcher fires another volley at the Carnifex in the midst of the chaos. The followers of Nurgle regroup down the street and begin firing on the tyranids as they swarm to catch the Space Marines. The second in command slays many lesser tyranid beings, they turn to the influence of Chaos and momentarily turn against their kind before their quick deaths ensured by rapid decay.

Slowly, the forces of Chaos pull back down the street, laying heavy suppressive fire on the tyranid swarm as they begin their slow retreat.

** The Carnifex gets one of its talons blown off...it gets slower as it begins to slowly bleed out. The Tyrant connects to it as it begins to lumber away from the fight bashing threw another wall and dissapearing all together, but in its place hundreds more gaunts and genestealers take its place. The genestealers having no ranged bio morphs so they try to get into close to the marines and use there razor sharp claws on there knees to bring them down as the Gargoyles continue to try to kill the second in command, while on the ground the warriors also continues to try to take him down...this time aiming at his jet pack trying to get it to fail or explode. On the front lines the gaunts continue there barrage of borer beetles, spikes and other strange missiles. The lictors again try to maneuver around the marines by climbing on buildings and ambushing them.

The second in command ignites his jetpack, shrugging off all attackers as he lands behind the plague marines. A Nurglite dreadnaught, dripping with puss and covered in greenish decaying flesh, approaches the front line. The plague marines continue their slowly retreat back as the Dreadnaught's flamer cannon spews the acidic bile of Nurgle in the swarm in front of them.

The anti-tank space marine fires yet another volley of death, aimed in the center of the swarm. He pulls back after he fires his shot.

Razor backs with horrible warp mutations such as eyes and decaying flesh move in to pick up the plague marines. Their heavy bolters fire deadly rounds that pierce the swarm and infect it from within.

** The units seems to be getting destroyed by the Dreadnought, but the few lictors behind enemy lines jump it landing on and trying to disable it by slashing and cutting at it with there razor sharp talons. It also seems like there are less gaunts and genestealers coming out, instead replaced by Warriors. A few armed with deathspitters aim out of a window and fire at the dreadnought. The lictors would also begin to attack the areas that get hit with the maggots since they would begin to weaken the armor with there corrosive slime. Up in the air more gargoyles seem to also be coming as they swoop in and go for the razor backs, all firing there flesh borers straight at them, hundreds of the beetles would begin flying at them and killing who ever they hit, the beetles would eat who ever do they latch onto inside out by crawling to exposed flesh and burrowing in before multiplying and feasting. A shot rings out from high on the roofs aswell as it seems the Tyrant has moved, but he still has his hundreds of little guards which now include warriors, two hands are bone swords, the other two are made into a Venom Cannon, it fires directly into the lines of marines, if hit they would probably be killed by the impact, the corrosive poison or the shards of crystal that shatter on impact, after a few shots in the Tyrant dissapears back into the building..

The Dreadnaught's mutated armor holds, as it spins around 3 times extremely fast, stopping immediately on the 3rd turn with enough force to throw them off. It goes into over time, spreading acid at an alarming rate as it slowly steps backwards. The borer beetles bite on the diseased and cursed flesh and promptly die. The remaining company of Plague Marines get into their razorbacks. The dreadnaught turns it's body and moves at a quick pace away with the razorbacks.

** The Tyrant rears its ugly head again aiming its Venom cannon at the legs of the Dreadnought, it fires. The round fly's at the leg of the dreadnought and hits It does not manage to do much to leg other then burn of some armor and skin. Seeing as how they are retreating hundreds of warriors, gaunts and genestealers begin to follow them, they stay off the main areas going threw buildings instead while the gargoyles continue to fly over head. The Tyrant with his little army hold back unlike the others who continue forward. Back where the bodies lay rippers begin to appear, they look a tad different from the regular kind as they are the second generation of rippers and are immune to the diseases in the bodies, which they quickly eat before heading back to be turned into biomass.

**The razorbacks book it to the warehouse/industrial sector, taking little damage as they move. The acursed bodies of the daemons of Nurgle and the Plague Marines have diseases that cannot be immunized, and their acursed flesh taints and corrupts. Only the bodies of the heretics are good for biomass collection.

** The rippers that do try to eat the bodies of the marines are killed along with the ones who go for the plague bearers, they do devour there own dead before heading back to be made into more biomass. The front line of Tyranids draws ever closer to the warehouse/industrial district. It would seem like even with there large looses they are still quite a force to be reckoned with since there just seems to be an almost constant stream of warriors, gaunts, genestealers and every so ofter a dozen Raveners which all begin to head in the direction the marines went.

A heretic approaches the champion Ixiator. "Great one, the scouting party is retreating, the forces of the Hive were too great." The champion nods,"They multiply like flies unto decayed flesh. Prepare the defenses. The industrial district is ours, and it shall stay that way."

The gate to the industrial area opens, letting the razor backs and dreadnaught enter, it closes behind them. Nurgle's essence is strong here, mutated and decayed flesh hangs off buildings and walls, and flies travel in large swarms. Heretics man the wall, armed with lasguns and grenade launchers. Every interval along the wall plague marines are found. On either side of the gate is a havoc autocannon squad.

** At first everything seems quiet as the heretics take there positions on the wall. In the distance down the road a mass of objects it seen flying twards the wall at high speeds, its the gargoyles. They first go for the heretics trying to blind them with a poisonous spit before shooting them with there flesh borers. From the buildings near the wall across the large main streets little barrels begin to poke threw the holes and windows before they begin to unleash barrages of beetles, maggots, spikes and other living ammo at them. The Tyranids with the melee bio morphs hang back and wait.

Some heretics are blinded and killed, they scream and wave their arms about, falling off the walls. The other masses of heretics fire grenades and lascannons in the sky, as the gargoyles fly past the wall they are peppered by heavy bolter and auto cannon fire from the plague marines on the ground, ripping them apart.

Auto cannons and rockets begin to tear away at the structures of the buildings.

** The Tyranids on the ground pull back, but the Gargoyles continue there assault trying to take out more and more people on the walls and inside. Only a few hundred with ranged bio morphs stay, instead of focusing fire on the people they focus on the base of the wall, there weapons are very acidic so with time the weapons might be able to burn threw to the other side, this is being done in positions all along the wall.

The gargoyles plummit from the sky faster than they can kill as they continue to circle within the adept ranged fire of the Plague Marines. The gates are opened, and Daemons of Nurgle are unleashed. The mites swarm and take most of the ranged fire as they move to overtake the buildings. Beasts of nurgle and the hulking Plaguebearers move behind them. Behind the Daemons are Plague Marine squads, they move to push the tyranids out.

The wall is also made of very hard material, and the acid burns through it excrutiatingly slow.

** As the gates open the trap is sprung, thousands of Tyranids begin to pour out from the buildings, they begin to charge head on into them, while the other stay behind and fire there weapons. The sheer amount of Tyranids is astounding, thousands of them begin to head for the gate trying to kill anything in there path The gargoyles that are left break off and head back while the large onslaught continues. A few hundred also focus there fire onto the gate its self trying to weaken it or stop one of the doors from closing.

The Daemons hold them back, the beasts of Nurgle tossing lesser tyranids about and infecting them, while Plaguebearers smash their large melee weapons over the heads of larger tyranids. The many nurglings swarm over the Tyranids, biting and clawing and acting as overall distractions. The Plague marines back up the Daemons with bolter fire. On the roofs the heretics, Plague marines, heavy bolter squads, and havoc autocannons reigh hell on the mass of the swarm. They make the Tyranids pay dearly for bringing themselves out in the open.

** In the back of the large force an very loud screech is heard before a bolt of bio plasma is seen flying towards the front lines, soon after large foot steps are heard as something barrels its way threw its own forces till reaching the front lines where it begins its reign of terror, its the Carnifex. After it had left a bio morph common in Carnifex's took hold, its regenerative abilities began kicking in and it was able to grow one of its talons back, but not the barbed strangler. Where it was hit by the rockets are very noticeable scars. From a window a shot from a poison cannon rings out as it slams into one of the marines, killing him. The other Tyranids seem to keep coming trying there hardest to kill everything, the nurglings would be facing genestealers, who have claws that are known to shred threw most metal like glass. Devourers also begin to fire at the people on the walls, anyone hit would be killed in a very very painful death.Raveners join the fray as they quickly slither threw the lines and begins to cut people down before moving onto others. The Carnifex try's to make a path down the line of enemy's. Hundreds of thousands of shots are flying threw the air at the enemy aswell, but even with this the Tyranids are facing heavy losses but the seem determined not to fall back.

The wall protects from most of the ranged fire, the heretics, plague marines and heavy weapons squads continue to rain death upon them. The nurglings and lesser Daemons of nurgle begin to die or run away, but the giant plaguebearers hold the line, their necrotic bodies taking much physical damage. The Carnifex breaks through the line of plague bearers and Plague Marines, the plague marines are swarmed and after much gouging and physical damage they reluctantly die. The plaguebearers are even more resillent, fighting on even as the swarm is all around them. As the Carnifex charges, the explosive rounds of the bolters, autocannons are focused on it.

Beyond the gates is the factory complex, where many plague marines have taken up garrisons in the factory windows or in the streets. Heretical guardsmen have made trenches and fire their lasguns at the Carnifex just beyond the gate.

A Chaos Predator crashes through a warehouse wall, accompanied by the Dreadnaught. It fires a round at the Carnifex as the heavy bolters on the side pepper the swarm. The dreadnaught lies in wait next to the predator.

** The Tyrant jumps down from a building landing in the swarm, it aims at the giant Plaguebearers and fires, the round from the gun it uses are very powerful and could probably kill most organic creatures. It with hundreds of warriors, gaunts, genestealers and Raveners begin to try to punch a hole threw the forces and get into the warehouse/industrial district, any creature cut with the blade of its bone swords would give him more health as he begins to hack and slash with great speed and accuracy. The gargoyles now having gotten some forces back come around and begin to attack those on the wall, if need be they will tackle those on the wall to get them to fall to possibly there death. The Carnifex charges the Predator, taking most las shots like they were nothing, as for bolter rounds they would also be stopped by its incredibly dense and thick armor. The Tyranids outside the wall keep pushing with all there might thousands dead, but still there force remains strong as more join in the fight. Lictors try to sneak in threw a hole that how now burned threw the wall before hand, they have there cloaking on as one goes to disable the gate controls while the others begin to try to take out encampments or marines with heavy weapons.

The plaguebearers die not long after the charge of the Carnifex. The gate closes behind the Carnifex, leaving few tyranids that die quickly inside the facility and crushing a few inbetween the doors. The predator backs up quickly, firing at the Carnifex, leading it into the trap. The dreadnaught charges at it from it's side, firing it's acidic bile spewer. Anti-vehicular rockets fire on both sides of the Carnifex, the tank rounds hitting the front.

Autocannons and heavy bolters turn back to the sky as more gargoyles swarm in, their explosive rounds devastating to them.

A razorback accompanied by a squad of Plague marines waits for the hole to burn through, it's targeting system sees the Lictors and fires on them as they move through. The plaguemarines fire on the Lictors aswell, barely able to make them out as they come through. Heretical guardsmen move to reinforce the break in the wall. All the while, the tyranids pay dearly for this assault as the wall brings more and more ranged fire down on the tyranid turkeyshoot in the streets.

Oberon Ixiator watches this from afar, back near the main temple, where the original warehouse once lay. He hacks and coughs, "Death, decay, and bodies lie tonight. They give strength to Nurgle, and increase our might. These plague marines that serve will fight until they are at death's door. And then they will fight even more. The Tyranids will perish faster than they can spawn. Their bodies will lay lifeless and decaying by dawn."

** The Tyranids hold on long enough for there fallen brethren to be eaten by rippers before falling back deep into the city again. The Carnifex dies but the Tyrant lives on.

The lictors are chased off and killed if they stay. Heretical guardsmen form trenches around the break in the wall, and a plague techmarine starts building an auto-turret. The gates are opened, and heretics are sent outside to to collect the few bodies the rippers have left. They carry them back to the main temple, hauling the heavy beasts slowly. The gates are closed after it has been done. Champion Ixiator looks over the dead Carnifex body. "This body, most of all, will please Nurgle.. What was once invincible has fallen to nothing.." He turns to his faithful second in command. "Perform the ritual.." He nods, his jetpack igniting. He drives his sword into the ground, drawing out the symbol of Nurgle around the beast slowly.

An hour or so later, the inscription is done. Heretics gather in a circle around the beast, their bodies convulsing and twitching as they chant, their arms outstretched to either side. The inscriptions suddenly glow a brilliant green. Flies swarm the Carnifex, maggots pour from it, a stench that no sane human could bear comes from it. It's process of decay speeds up quickly, as it begins to crumble to nothing but dust. There is soon nothing lying there but a puddle of greenish goo spread over an area of where the carnifex once lay.
